SCRUBBIN BOBBLES

MATERIALS

Small amount of 100% nylon plastic canvas yarn (any color)

Small amount of 100% cotton yarn (contrasting color)

Size "G" Hook

Approx. size: 6" dia

Special Stitches:

Beg Bobble: Ch 3, work 2 dc in same sp as ch 3 leaving the last loop of each dc on the hook, YO and draw through all the loops on the hook to complete.

Bobble Stitch: Bobble Stitch: Work 3 DC, always inserting the hook into the same stitch and leaving the last loop of each DC on the hook, YO and draw through all the loops on the hook to complete.

FRONT - make 1

Rnd 1 - With nylon yarn, wrap nylon yarn around finger twice to form a ring. Working in ring now, make a beg bobble, ch 3, *work bobble, ch3 in ring. Repeat from * 4 more times. Join with sl st to top of beg bobble. ( 5 bobbles)

Rnd 2 - Sl st into first ch 3 sp, work beg bobble, ch 3, bobble in same sp. Ch 3, *(bobble, ch 3, bobble) in next ch-3 sp, ch 3. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st to top of beg bobble. (10 bobbles)

Rnd 3 - Sl st into first ch-3 sp, ch 3, 3 dc in same sp, 4 dc in each of next 3 sps around. Join with sl st to top of beg ch-3. (40 dc) Fasten off.

BACK - make 1

Rnd 1 - With cotton yarn, wrap yarn around finger twice, forming ring, slip off finger, ch 3 (counts as first dc), 12 dc in ring. Join with sl st to top of beg ch-3. (13 dc)

Rnd 2 - Ch 3, dc in same sp as ch-3, 2 dc in each st around. Join with sl st to top of beg ch-3. (26 dc)

Rnd 3 - Ch 3 dc in same sp as ch 3, 1 dc in next st, * 2 dc in next st, 1 dc in next. Repeat from * around until last 2 sts, 2 dc in each of the last 2 sts. Join with sl st to top of beg ch-3. (40 dc)

Rnd 4 - Ch 1, sc in same sp as joining and in each st around. Join with sl st to beg sc. (40 sc). Do not fasten off

JOINING

Rnd 5 - Holding both the back and front piece, wrong sides together, matching sts, working through BOTH thickness', ch 1 sc in same sp as ch 1, sc in each st around. Join with sl st to beg sc. (40 sc)

Rnd 6 - Ch 4 (count as 1 dc, ch1) dc in same sp, sk next st, dc ch1 dc in next st, * sk next st, dc ch1 dc in next st*. Repeat *to* around, join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 4.

Rnd 7 - Sl st in first ch 1 sp, work (ch1, sc, ch 3, sc ) in ch sp, *sc, ch 3, sc in next ch 1 sp. Repeat * around, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off and weave in ends.
