EFL Sites

 

*      Visit a few sites on the list or any other EFL sites you are familiar with.

*      Pay attention to:

 

o       Relevant material for you as an EFL teacher

o       Types of information, activities, games, instructions

o       The target population

o       Types of communication

o       Navigation and interactivity

o       The location of the different sections on the page

o       Elements that re - appear on all the linked pages (Logo)

o       the graphics – colors, images animations

o       information about the creators of the site

o       anything else you may think of

 

*      In the forum, as a TGUVA to my message EFL Sites,  recommend ONE site  (not necessarily from the list) and justify your choice. Give a detailed description of the site. Point out both advantages and disadvantages. Refer to the points mentioned above.

*      Read at least four messages sent by your peers and visit the sites.

Prepare a worksheet with materials taken from one or more of the sites above

*      Open a new document in WORD and prepare for English (HOW?)

*      Type your Title

*      In the Internet, highlight the text you want to copy to your word document

*      Edit – Copy

*      Return to your document

*      Edit – òøéëä

*      Paste – äãá÷

*      Format the text (HOW?)

*      Very important!!! Add the name of the site and its URL in a Webliography list at the bottom of your worksheet.

*      You may repeat this process a number of times taking texts from different sites.

*      Save your worksheet

*      Add your instructions, remarks etc. wherever necessary

*      Very important!!! Add your header (HOW?)

*      Save

*      Decorate with a frame (HOW?)

*      Insert a picture from the clip art gallery (HOW?)

*      Save

*      Open your peers’ worksheets

*      React to at least 3 messages.
