THE BABIES
What are baby guinea pigs?
The Baby Guinea Pigs are the guinea pigs that were newborn from a female.Babies are born fully furred! They come in many different sizes, shapes, and colours.  Sometimes, when it comes to reproducing the second guinea pig, this time (Chances are...) the mother may bleed.  It's natural, but sometimes can be a terrifying horror.
How old does the guinea pig have to be in order to reproduce?
Don't be shocked on this one!  Guinea pigs can reproduce at absolutely ANY age!  It's funny because, for example: If you have a female guinea pig who just reproduced a newborn baby, this baby can rapidly get into contact with the father, and would reproduce a new baby by this way.  It is strange because this behaviour is different from a human's life.  You should watch out incase the baby guinea pig (Has to be a girl in order to reproduce) gets into contact with the father, or other male guinea pigs.
What kind of behaviour do I examine from a baby?
It is common that you would examine a baby feeding milk ever so often with the mother.  After about two weeks, the baby will grow and become more mature which will cause it to become independant.

Babies are very active. They rush around anywhere they can, they jump, and play with each other in their own natural ways. If the female gives birth while she is in with another female guinea pig she nows, they should be ok to stay with each other. The other female with more often than not help the mother to care for the babies. But you should always keep a close eye on them to make sure that the mother is not unhappy with the other being around.
What do I feed my baby guinea pig?
You should feed your baby guinea pig vegetables - and fruits - such as: Carrots, apples, oranges, grapes, romaine lettuce, etc.

The way you would feed it to them, is by firstly cutting the carrots, etc. into tiny pieces, and you would carefully place the guinea pig in your palm, and he/she would eat.

Other things that you can offer your baby guinea pig, is nature's goods - such as: pellets - Hay

Also, they can eat solid food from birth, but still need their mum to supply them with milk.
How much do babies cost?
Usually, they would cost the same amount of money as a regular old guinea pig.  This would sum to about $20 or more.  It depends on which store you visit to purchase a guinea pig.

Remember: NO matter what colour, size or shape a guinea pig may be, they will ALWAYS cost the same!  (At least from every store I visited, this happens)
Do babies make friends with the older ones?
Well, depends on how kind the older one is.  With our guinea pigs, we have three.  Ginny - oldest, Blackie - second oldest, and Missy - baby.  Missy does not get along with Blackie, because apparently, Blackie used to have problems in her old cage back at the store.  She used that same behaviour with Missy - because Missy was younger.  In that case, they did not get along.  Ginny just purrs and purrs with Missy - but if Ginny was NOT a boy, then Missy and Ginny would be able to stay in the same cage.

It depends on the respect, and likes and dislikes!
How do I know if my baby guinea pig has a disease when I first buy it?
The way that you would find out that your baby guinea pig has a disease, is by:

1.) You could check the vet, and see if there's anything wrong. (Check in the Yellowpages, or so for an Exotic Pet Vet)
2.) You could see if the baby is having problems with the older ones.  In this case, it might be sneezing, coughing, uncommon behaviour.
