I am reaching out, asking for your help with every fibre of my being, with everything except words. I want you to realise that I need your support, your love without asking for it. Will you hear me? Will you help me? Only time will tell…

I sink deeper into my despair, it is all consuming; thick and black, I wrap it around myself wallowing in the bittersweet pain as I slowly lose hope that you will save me this time. I give up the struggle, it’s too hard and I’m so tired.

Suddenly you are there, your eyes telling me that you understand, your words saying that we are one. That nothing will sunder us whilst we believe in each other; we are strong and we will meet all of the challenges that come our way.

I close my eyes, giving myself up to your embrace; tears fall heedlessly, splashing down my cheeks. Gently, you kiss away my tears and with them, my fears and my worries. I wonder how I could have doubted you, the one who knows me best, my love.
