The curtain swishes as the young man turns to go, hiding the young woman speaking at the front of a crowded auditorium, when his Prussian gaze meets Cobalt.

"You're leaving."

"Yes."

"When will you be back?"

"Honestly? I don't know."

"Hmm, so there is nothing I can say to make you stay a while."

"No, my mission is complete. I need some time alone to think, to find my place in this new world of peace."

A gesture towards the curtain.

"But you will be back, even if it is just for her."

"She doesn't need me any more. She is strong enough to carry on by herself; she will be a good leader. But yes, if she does need me in the future, I will be there for her."

A soft sigh.

"So you really do love her?"

"Yes, I do. Just not in the way that you think."

A hand cups a soft cheek before lips gently brush together. Shocked, wide eyes are met by faintly amused ones, as disbelieving fingers flutter over newly kissed lips.

"Well, I never thought I would see you lost for words. I will be back, but not for her... for you."
