She still believes that Ranko is the Tendo’s cousin. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Part 4: Inferno By RJ The morning sun peeked out from behind the passing cloud allowing it’s warm rays to filter down on the earth. A sun bean managed a way to sneak into the Tendo home. Kasumi, the eldest Tendo daughter, did her normal routine for the day. She got up, bathed, dressed, made her bed and headed downstairs to prepare breakfast. She hummed to herself merrily as she cracked and egg in the bowl. The sounds of stirring bodies made her smile as she continued. "Boy come on get up." Genma kicked at his son. "Mhmhmmmm." Ranma growled half asleep. "You too, come on." The older man said kicking Ryoga and Kin, who were sound asleep. "Awwwah." Ranma moaned as he stretched his arms above his head. He looked over to Kin, his son from the future, and watched as he also stretched out his limbs. Ryoga, however, was still in a sitting position, sound asleep. "Hey Bacon-bits, get up!" Ranma yelled. "Ahh!" "Ohh, did I wake the poor piggy wiggy?" "RANMA!" Ryoga roared getting up to attack. Immediately the sleeping girls awoke quickly. Shampoo and Ukyo were out the door and heading to Ranma’s room. Yori and Akane also made a dash to Ranma’s room. Nabiki and Kit walked. The four girls who rushed to the room were stopped by the body of Ryoga flying through the sliding doors. "Uhg." Ryoga moaned. "Ryoga are you hurt?" Akane asked the kneeing down next to Ryoga. "I’m fine." "Ranma how could you hurt poor Ryoga? When he is trying to help you!" Akane yelled standing up and facing Ranma. "Hey he’s the one who attacked me!" Ranma yelled back in defense. "I don’t care!" "Thank you for the pleasant wake up call, Ranma." Nabiki said interrupting the argument. Kit smiled as Nabiki said that. She began walking towards Ranma and Kin, "Well since we are all up…" As she walked she suddenly disappeared and reappeared right in front of Ranma, "…we might as well get ready." The entire group was shocked. Their eyes were big as saucers and there mouth opened. "What?" She asked. "Kit you just disappeared and reappeared." Yori said. "I did? "Just like ghost." Shampoo said. "I don’t see how…" she began to say when she turned around and disappeared and reappeared behind Ukyo. "…I could do that. Woah." "Yeah, no shit." Ranma replied. "It looks like you have developed a new power." Kin said walking up to her. "That’s great." "A new power?" Ukyo asked. "Well, it’s not really a "new" power, it’s more like a power that the person didn’t know they had. They can arise at certain times when a person as come of age." Kit answered. "But that’s good? Right?" Asked Akane. "No, it’s not. I don’t need some new power that I don’t know how to control screwing me up. What if something happens and I mess it up by disappearing and reappearing a 100 yards away or something." Kit said with a hint of anger. "I’m sure you can figure it out." Kin calmly stated. Kit said nothing and looked away. "Well I’m sure we all feel much better when we get something in our stomachs." Ukyo cheerfully stated. "Yeah, I’m hungry." Yori chimed in. Downstairs Kasumi almost had breakfast ready when Nodoka, Ranma’s mother poked her head into the door. "Good morning Kasumi." "Oh good morning Auntie Nodoka, how are you today?" "I am fine, may I come in?" "Oh of course, please." "Thank you." She said joining Kasumi in the kitchen. "What bring you here so early in the morning?" "Oh, I was just on my way to the market and I remember you wanted that recipe I had. So I decided to drop by." "Oh how nice, thank you." Akane, Yori and Kit walked into the kitchen talking quietly about the events that happened. Akane stopped short when she saw Ranma’s mother talking to Kasumi. "Mrs. Saotome!" "Oh hi Akane, please call me Auntie Nodoka. "Remember?" "Uh sure Auntie Nodoka." "My Ranko did you dye your hair?" "Huh?" Yori said looking at the older woman. "Oh, no no no, Auntie Nodoka, this isn’t Ranko. This is…umm..Ranko’s sister Yori." "Sister? I didn’t know she had a sister?" "Yea neither did we." Akane muttered under her breath. "I’m sorry I didn’t hear you?" Nodoka asked. "Umm, I said let me go get Ranko." Akane turned quickly and ran through the house to Ranma and Kin who were talking. "Ranma, your mothers here." "My mom! Oh shit. I go find some cold water." "But what about Kin?" Akane asked. "Oh yeah." He said looking at him. "You are gonna have to hide or something, because I don’t know how we can explain you to my Mom without her freaking out." "Okay, I’ll go up your room." "No, go to my room, it’ll be safer there." "What about Yori?" Kin asked "She’s fine, I told Nodoka that she was Ranko’s sister. Ranma took off to the bathroom and Kin went towards Akane’s room. Akane turned around and saw Ukyo and Shampoo glaring at her. "You think you special cause you warn Shampoo’s husband? Well you not." "Yeah, Ranma-honey is mine!" "No he MINE!" "MINE!" "MINE!!" Akane sighed and walked away towards the kitchen. Ranma, a.k.a. Ranko, walked through the door a second later. "Ranko, how nice to see you." Nodoka cheerfully said. "Was just talking to your sister and her friend." "Oh?" Ranko said nervously. "Yes, we were just talking about how she has black hair and you have red hair." "Oh yeah well…" Kit watched as Ranma’s face displayed a look of panic as his mother question him about "Ranko and her sister." Deciding to throw him a life line she interrupted Nodoka. "Oh! What a lovely brooch you have there." She said pointing the small gold pin on the blouse of Nodoka. "Oh thank you dear, it’s been in the family for many generations." Kitama stared at the small piece of jewelry with much curiosity. "May I get a closer look at it?" "Oh sure." Nodoka smiled as she removed the brooch and handed it to Kit. Ranko, Yori and Akane moved in a little closer so they too could see it. "It has been passed down to all the Saotome women through the years." "Really? Yori said with excitement. "Yes, so if my son ever has a daughter she will receive this on her eighteenth birthday." Nodoka said smiling at Akane. Akane turned slightly red and focused her attention at the broach in Kit’s hand. "Oh cool." Yori said as she stared at the small gold object in Kit’s hand. Kit ran her finger over the very detailed pin of many intertwining cords leading to a heart in the middle. "This brooch belong to my…" Nodoka began saying but Kitama interpreted not taking her eyes away from the object in her hands. "To your great-grand mother Athara." "Yes, but how did you know that?" "Umm…" Kit looked up at all the questioning faces. "Well, her name is inscribed on the back, right here." She said turning the brooch over and pointing to very small inscription located on the bottom part of the jewelry. "Why that is amazing, I never knew that was there, but how did you know she was my great-grand mother?" "Lucky guess." "Wow, I guess so." Kit handed back the broach and Nodoka smiled as she pined backed on. "Well, I must be going now. Tell everyone I said hello." "We will." Kasumi answered joyfully. Ranma waited till his mother was clear from site before he walked over to the stove and pureed the contents of the kettle over his head. "Kit how did you really know that?" Ranma asked. "Uh, well, I recognized it." "From what?" "Well it’s crest of the Mustikos Kingdom." "You mean your kingdom, but how can that be?" Ranma asked. "Hey! She’s right, don’t you remember the crest in Lee’s home. It’s like it a little." "But how can that be? Kayko was adopted." "Ranma did you really think that my mother would be been able to pull herself through your mind if you didn’t have sort of telepathic ability in you?" "But…" "You don’t have much, but it was enough." "But how?" Akane asked. "Athara was the second sister of the Mustikos family. Tifereth, queen at the time, ruled. You must remember there was peace on Gaea so traveling in and out of Dimensions was common with the Royal family. I believe she traveled to Earth, met a man and fell in love. She decided to stay and that is how Ranma is part of the Mustikos family." "So if Ranma’s part of the family, so is Kin and Yori." Akane stated. "Yes, but so far removed that there is probably no trace of Telepath ability left." "Ohhhh." Akane and Ranma said together. "Wow I can’t believe it, Kayko really is related to me." "You know Ranma it makes sense." Akane said. "Huh, what does?" "That you have a small part of Telepathic ability." "What do you mean?" "Well you seem to pick up techniques rather quickly." "That’s a possibility." "I think she’s right Ranma." "Cool. I wonder if my mom knows about it through. I mean she must have some, if I have it." "Well she probably thinks it’s just women intuition and never gave it a thought." Akane stated. "Yeah I guess your right." Ranma looked towards Kasumi and smiled. "So is breakfast ready yet?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Breakfast was it’s usually at the Tendo’s house with the exception of six extra people. Crowded around the table they ate and talked about strategy. They had to prepared, because Incendia could attack at any moment. After breakfast they all made there way towards the school. Meeting up with Mouse right out side of the school they headed inside. The schoolyard seemed to stop. Everyone was looking at the small group that came walking in through the gates. Shampoo and Mouse seem somewhat uncomfortable being at the school, since they never really attended a normal high school before, but you can’t really call Furinkan a "normal" high school either. Ryoga was having difficulties trying to stay with the group. At many time Ukyo or Yori had to pull him back from wandering off. It was very interesting though to witness the mess of people walking in the school yard. The five girls seemed to be walking extremely close to Ranma, making him look like a pimp of sorts. Ranma however didn’t want them all close to him. If he was the going to be killed he didn’t want any of them to get hurt. As if there wasn’t enough tension in the air and foreboding about a loud boorish yell escaped from around a tree. "What is this my eyes see? Fowl being known at Ranma Saotome about with his captured beauties." "Oh not Kuno." Ranma moaned. Soon enough the Kendo captain of the school’s team stepped out from behind a tree. He strutted over to Ranma and the group with a look of distaste. "Ah the beautiful, yet strong Tendo Akane and… Pig-tail girl you have change your hair. It is no longer the color of the fire of your spirit but now a the color of purest ash. Has this fiend forced you to change your hair color in hopes of ridding my love?" He said starting at Yori. Yori looked at Kuno as if he had five head, she started to say something, but was cut off by Kuno instead. "Do not worry, for mine love has not dwindled because of your hair color. For I can love you with any hair style. AH and who is this. Have you enslaved another beauty for yourself Saotome? My dear goddess with sun kissed hair, you shall fear not, I will banish this demon and set you free!" "Kuno you have no idea what the hell your talking about." "DON’T I! Die Ranma Saotome!" Kuno leaped in the air about to attack Ranma, however a burst of fire came thundering towards Kuno hitting in the chest, making him fly backwards into the school’s doors. "That pleasure will be mine." A voice said behind the group. Everyone turned around to see standing at the entrance of the school a young women with red orange hair, in warrior’s outfit, holding out what looked like a sword on fire. Her eyes burned red as she stared at Ranma. "But, please allow me to introduce myself before I destroy you Ranma Saotome, heir to the Anything Goes Martial Arts School. I am Incendia, high Princess of the Elemental Kingdom, I am also your executioner." To be continued…….. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Author’s note: Hey all, hope you like what’s going on. I know it’s taking me awhile to write this, but with school and work, it’s hard you know. Just to let you know, I have a pretty good idea in what’s going to happen, but to give I’ll give you a few hints anyway…. Kit’s new power will play an important role How Hercate escaped the moon will be answered Who has been watching the Tendo house will be reviled and finally the mother of Kin and Yori will be also be reviled.
