Yasha yawned and leaned back against the hard rock wall. Her armor itched and she wanted to get out. Still, Diamis had demanded that they stay until Mother's all knowing presence told them what to do. She pulled at her sword sheath, shifting it around the black breast plate and black leg guards. Everything she wore was black. Black arm guards, black breast plate, black leg guards, black boots and black gautlets. Even her sword was black. Her skin was pale though, almost white. Topped with her vibrant red hair, she looked like a vision of death. Which she was to anyone she didn't like. Diamis growled quietly. A rippling of 28 heads repeated the action. Her three central heads gazed down at the small, red haired woman with contempt.

"We'll be out soon. Just be patient." She hiss low in her throat, pacing back and forth across the dark cavern floor. Yasha smirked.

"I know what we're here for. Go to flight, find a few males, have a clutch and spread the joy of us. Why do we have to wait?"

The hydra hissed again, five heads snaking towards the eerily calm woman. "We will wait!" All five cried in unison. Yasha rolled her eyes and pushed the closest muzzle away from her.

"Fine. Fine. Don't tie your tails in a knot." She stepped around the mass of heads and brushed her hand against her bond's leg. "Your mother probably has a few choice instructions anyway."

The heads receeded with a low growl, rejoining the sinuous tangle of necks. Korulantis Diamis waited for a moment before laying down on the cold ground. Her crimson, almost black, scales glowed in the faint flicker of light given off by the torches set in the walls. 28 heads dipped and swiveled around each other, occassionally snarling and hissing in impatience. A bulk of muscle held up the mass, bulging around her shoulders and torse. Three ridges rode down her back to her powerful hind legs. From behind her, three whip-like tails passed uneasily across the floor. 10 jewels glowed brightly in her three crowns, proudly announcing her status and personality. That was probably why her mother had chosen her for this mission. Diamis was an intelligent beast. She had been born with 2 diamonds in her crowns. This meeting was more then just a briefing by her dam and she knew it. A contented purr whispered through the assemblage of heads at the thought of the magnificant black hydra. Her mother, Queen of hydras. Though Vieanna was considered mother to all hydras, she was especially her mother. Her boastful thoughts were interrupted as her Joined shouted a stream of profanity.

Yasha cursed as she jumped to her feet. She had been about to sit down when something beneath her shrieked in fright. Glaring down at the spot she noticed a molted brown imp scampering away. With an annoyed snarl, she slammed her booted foot into the frail creature and sent it flying across the room. One of Diamis' many heads snatched the small snack up in her jaws before it hit the wall. Yasha smirked lightly and sat down again.

From her vantage in the small room, Diamis could see everything going on around her. It was reflex to catch a flying imp mid-air. Though small and crunchy, they were a satisfying before-meal snack. One of her ruling heads swivelled around to face the entrance. Nothing. Not that she expected someone. She just hoped one of those stupid creatures from the Warren above would wander down here. She was getting hungry.

A commanding presence filled her mind. Every head stopped immediately, red eyes glowing dimly in response to her mother's aura. Yasha looked up at the hydra and stood quickly at attention. The Queen hydra didn't have to enter to make her presence known. She saw and heard all that was going on in the room holding her daughter. The black aura let off a scent of smuggness as her daughter's rider attempted to be respectful.

Yasha my dear, you can relax. You don't have to impress me. The voice chuckled in their minds. Yasha smiled weakly and relaxed her stance, still not sitting down again. Vieanna's voice continued. I believe you both know why you're here.

"Yesss..." 25 heads hissed in pleasure. Diamis' three ruling heads remained silent, replying mentally to her mother's call. We do mother.

Good. Vieanna purred. Listen well then. You will be travelling to the Healing Den in the Nexus of space for a dark flight. Mystic will not attend and Baeris will be so wrapped up in her own emotions that she won't be able to stop you. When the flight begins, make yourselves known and not before then. I expect both of you to find worthy mates. Understood?

"Yes Mother." Yasha and Diamis replied in unison, echoed by all of the hydra's heads.

Once you have found a few mates, daughter mine, use the sands there for your clutch. She chuckled quietly, the whisper of 32 voices following her. No one will be able to deny a proud mother a place to clutch.

"It will be done mother." Diamis comfirmed her mother's joyous thuoghts with a resounding hiss.

Then go. The Queen hydra's aura faded abruptly, leaving the pair in silence once again. Diamis' lips pulled back in a grin while 25 heads hissed with pleasure.

"It's time to go, rider mine." She chuckled quietly, lowering a leg to the small human. Yasha nimbly climbed up the bulk of Dia's shoulder and seated herself between two ridges.

"Let's go have some fun."
