A'und fluffed the black tips of his hair as he examined himself in the mirror. He grinned to himself and lifted his chiin proudly. As a graduation present to himself A'und has gotten his hair dyed green-black to match his dragon. And, he thought to himself, it went quite nicely with his brown eyes.
The 21 year old rider smiled and turned ot his hair dresser. "How do I look?"
Tabitha giggled light heartedly (she had dipped into her own supplies once again). "Purfect." She purred. A'und grinned and took the out held 'parting gift' from Tabitha's hand, kissing her quickly on the cheek at the same time.
Thanks doll face." With a charming wink, he darted out of the room and down the hall to the main entrance, stowing his bag of goodies in his pocket at the same time.
About time. Serrith's eyes whirled red in annoyance as she stood to greet her rider. A'und grinned and leapt oto her bare back. Seconds later, they had left the Protectorate's grounds and gone between.
* * * "Woah! Nice hair!" M'lor nodded his approval as the twins approached the gathering around A'und and Serrith. A'und grinned and shook hands with each twin in turn.
"Ya like it? Just got it done... last week." The night-green rider tried to cover up his actions as he spied Mystic out of the corner of his eye.
The Caretaker of the Warren smirked lightly and stood beside him. "You should work on your timing, A'und. And your lies. Neither are very good."
I told you we should have gone to that lesson. A'und grumbled mentally to Serrith. The dark dragon snorted lightly and glared down at her rider.
It's not my fault you were passed out drunk in our weyr.
Their conversation ws cut short as more riders came to congratulate A'und.
* * * Get that damned cat off my bed or I'll remove him PERMENENTLY! Serrith growled, her tail whipped back and forth in agitation. A'und sighed and walked over to the dragon bed where Lucky had made himself comfortable. The feline looked up at him through a sleepy daze as A'und lifted him in his arms and walked back to his seat by the fire. Sitting down agian, he set the black cat in his lap and began to stroke the sleek fur gently.
"Better?" He called over his shoulder, watching Serrith curl up moodily on the dragon bed.
Yes. The night green answered shortly, her tail still flicking periodically. A'und sighed and shook his head.
"What's gotten you so moody lately love? You're starting to act like Senorith."
Serrith growled quietly at being compared to the proddy queen. I am not. Well... not entirely.
"What do you mean?" A'und raised a brow and looked over at the large green-black dragon.
I mean I want to fly! Serrith replied sharply, lifting her head from her foreclaws and looking down at A'und. The youth blinked in silence then nodded slowly. She continued before he could say a word. Dracoth and Merlinth are flying at the Healing Den's Dark Dragon Frenzy. I want to too! Even Bazuk is going. Please?
That would probably be the only time Serrith would ask nicely for anything. A'und smirked lightly, the smirk turning into a wide grin as he thought it over. "Fine. We'll go. But I'm not ending up with a guy, got that?"
Great! Don't worry, there are other cross gender fliers there. Thank you! The dark green purred and stepped close enough to her rider to rub her cheek against his head. Lucky took off in fright from the closeness of the dragon's jaws to himself. A'und laughed quietly and hugged Serrith's muzzle.
"We'll head out tomorrow." He assured his lifemate as the dragoness purred happily in his ear.
