You Are My Only Love

Beryl watched Ian's feeling mixed with hatred, anguish with need from far. She could feel his need to be with Jupiter, to own her forever. This drove her mad with jealousy. Slowly she approached him.

"Good evening, Lord Ian," Beryl greeted him. Ian slowly lifted his head and saw Beryl standing in front of him. He cursed quietly under his breath. Beryl had been around him, bugging him so much lately and he hated that. But he didn't want to hurt her feeling since she was the daughter of Judge Graystoke so he tried to be nice to her. Still, he hated to be disturbed especially now.

"What," he said irritably. He didn't mean to be rude but with all the problem in his head made him unnoticed of his rudeness. Beryl seemed a little bit hurt but she brushed the feeling away. After all, she had something more important to do. She landed her butt on the stone chair and leaned forward.

"I'd something to offer you," Ian looked at her curiously as he frowned.

"What?"

"Something that will end your misery," Beryl eyes were shining mysteriously as she watched his feature changing. She loved this man and seeing him suffering upset her. She would do anything to take the pain away even it would hurt her.

"Nothing in this world can end my misery," Ian said softly. If only he could make Jupiter fell in love him, he'd wanted nothing more in this world.

"Not even Jupiter?" Beryl said quietly. Ian's head snapped up as he looked at Beryl. From her eyes, he knew that she wasn't lying at him. But what did she mean by 'not even Jupiter'?

"What do you mean by 'not even Jupiter?' You can make Jupiter fell in love with me? If that so how?" he challenged her.

"Destroyed all the barriers," her eyes change from loving and tender to evil and heartless. Ian was shocked. He didn't know this annoying lady who had bugging him for weeks would do something that out of the line. Especially killing. But somehow....killing Nephrite would be a terific idea. Still....

"Beryl, don't be stupid. They are from Silver Millenium. They had Silver Crystal and they can beat us in a second,"

"But we had Golden Crystal," Beryl cut in. "The Golden Crystal were cleaved into five fragments. Four of the five fragments are with the Prince Endymion's guardians, the generals. And another fragment is with Endymion himself. One fragment is powerful enough to kill the generals especially Nephrite. Beside, if Silver Millenuim is destroys, we can conquer this kingdom"

"Our kingdom?" Ian was speechless. "How did you know about the Golden Crystal too much? If that so, the generals had four fragment which mean we still can't beat them with only one fragment," Ian said logically.

"True. King Endymion is not a very trusting person. Sure he trusts the guardians to protect the fragments but still he didn't trust the guardians for not using them to deceive the Kingdom. Which mean, King Endymion locked most of the fragments' power," Beryl explained.

"Are you trying to say that the fragment that with Endymion is more powerful than theirs?" Ian tried to understand.

"Exactly,"Beryl smiled. "If we capture Prince Endymion alone and coercion him to tell us where are the fragment, the chance to destroyed the Silver Millenium is bigger." Beryl looked at Ian. "So, are you in or not?"

Ian looked down. The thought of Nephrite dead in his arm and owning Jupiter was tempting but destroying a kingdom was too much. He didn't want to be a traitor espcially to his own kingdom and certainly didn't want to see his cousin hurt. He knew he couldn't betrayed his own kingdom just because he loathed Nephrite. It just ain't enough. Ian made up his mind. He couldn't and wouldn't participate in beryl dirty job.

"I can't join you. I mean this whole thing is so.....you know......too much," Beryl's eyes darkened. She knew Ian would turn down her offer and she had prepared. "I knew," Beryl said coolly. Ian's head snapped up. "You do?"

"Yes. That's why I'd came here prepared," Beryl smiled evilly. Ian frowned. something was wrong. Something was very wrong. He quickly raised and took a step backward. He saw a black myst came out from nowhere. "Queen Metallia," Ian whispered. He had read about Queen Metallia, an evil spirit that had destroyed the Silver Millenium once and Queen Serenity The Third, mother of Queen Serenity had locked her down.

"I can see that you know me," Queen Metallia smiled. "You bastard! What had you done to Beryl! Release her now!" Ian shouted.

"I've done nothing. She wanted it. I just give it and I can feel that you wanted it too," Ian's blue eyes darkening. "I'd want nothing from you. Leave me and Beryl alone," he said grimly. "Are you threatening me? Pethatic but brave. Beryl was right. You are perfect," Queen Metallia laughed evilly. Before Ian could do anything, Queen Metallia surrounded him. In a second, Ian's soft blue eyes changed into hard and evil.

Looking at Queen Metallia, he bowed. "What is your first command, my queen?"

That night, King Endymion and Queen Serenity were talking about their son and daughter wedding when suddenly there was an urgent knocking sound at the door.

"Come in," General Turquoise burst in. He looked panic with blood flowed down from his forehead. King Endymion rushed forward to catched him before he fell down. He turned at Queen Serenity, who's as panic and curious as him, and told her to called the guardians and his son. Queen Serenity quickly went out.

King Endymion reached tissues and tried to stop the bleeding. "Turquoise! What happened?" General Turquoise bit his lower lip as he tried to ignore the pain. At the sametime, all the guardians, Endymion and Serenity arrived. Jadeite saw Turquoise laying on Endymion's lap, hurting badly. Serenity covered her mouth as Endymion slided his arm around her waist. Everybody was listening.

"I'm not sure...um...when suddenly one of our soldier ran out to my office and told me that our base is under attack. When...when I got out, I..I saw as if the war had begun in our kingdom. People dying and...and buildings destroyed. I'm really sorry, your highness. I don't know how I didn't noticed...." King Endymion closed his eyes. He knew it wasn't Turquoise's fault. It was his. He should had never left his kingdom.

"What shall we do next, father?" Endymion spoke up. "Shall we returned?" Kunzite said as he looked Turquoise that was covering his bleeding forehead wih the tissues that King Endymion had given to him.

"We'll go back to Earth while Serenity's guardians will follow the plan," King Endymion said softly. Turquoise sat up. "Forgive me, my lord. But I want to go back too," Zoisite looked at him. "You're injure," "But I'm the one who's responsible for happened. If I...."

"It's not your fault. It is mine and you are not going back until you're fine," King Endymion walked out of the room. The guardian looked at each other. "He felt guilty and responsible for what had happened," Mars said softly. She could feel his anger and regret.

"We'll leaving tomorrow," Endymion said then leaving the room to find his father. Tomorrow? But that's too early Jupiter thought feeling worried.

That night, Mars was preparing for tommorow battle. Following the monsters was easy but what if they met the leader while chasing the monster? They could easily be killed. Mars brushed the thought away. That was what the guardians for. Protecting their princess from any harm without fearing of death. She was hoping that Jadeite could take care of himself. Suddenly she heard the knocking sound from the door. She walked towards the door and opened it. She saw Jadeite was standing at the door, wearing his usual general uniform. She'd noticed that Jadite hadn't bothered to fasten his upper buttons, exposing his muscular chest. Mars tried to ignore the longing feeling she felt inside.

"So, are you going to invite me in or not?" Jadeite teased her. Mars blushed slightly as she stepped aside, hoping he hadn't noticed that she staring at his broad chest. "So, what bring you here?" Jadeite brought his face close hers and she could smell his wonderful familiar scent when everytime they kissed. "What else do you think had brought me here?" Jadeite murmured.

"I don't know. Um..you left something here and you came to took it back?" Mars teased him back as she slided her arms around his neck, bring it closer to her. "No, I want to give you something," he kept on whispering. He put his arm around her waist and the other in his pocket, searching for something. He could see her eyebrows raised. He loved it whenever she do that. "And what is that?" Mars let his neck go.

"This," Jadeite said as he opened the small velvet box, revealing the diamond ring. Mars slowly touched it in disbelieved.

"Mars, I don't know wheather I'll survive tommorrow but I do know that I'll belong to you in this millenium and next life. With this ring, I swear that you are my only love now and forever. Will you marry me?" Mars raised his teary eyes meeting his.

"Yes," she hugged him tightly as tears fell down to her soft cheek. "Oh yes, I'll wait for you to come back even though for hundreds of years, I'll wait for you," Jadeite lowered his lips to hers. He kissed her with all the love he felt inside.

This is the woman that he wanted to be with forever. This is the woman that had shone through his life, making it more meaningful. Oh god, I loved her so much. Let us be together forever.
