I am looking for information on Humphrey S. Cook. He left Rains County for Nacogdoches County to work in the log woods with his brother who name is unknown. He was born 1855 in Georgia and died in 1915 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. Debbie Stewart Moore. debbielou@mailcity.com

My Father, Hebron Edward Cook b. 4/30/1942, is the son of Williard Edward Cook, b. 10/25/1919. Williard married Annie Katherine Jackson. Willard’s siblings: Alvin, Elvin, Juanita, Pauline, Carrie, Bessie, Willard and Robbie Sue. Willard Edward is the son of Lawrence Edward Cook, whose father is Robert Edward Cook and his father was John E. Cook. Lawrence is believed to have been full blooded Cherokee and his wife Lavinia ¾’s Cherokee. My Cook relatives roots are in Nacogdoches, Texas. I found some information that Alvin and Elvin Cook (twins) born in Woden, Nacogdoches on 6/11/1916. Elvin was married 11/21/1936. Lawrence Cook b. 2/16/1894, d. 11/28/1961; Martha Cook d. 7/24/1981.
