Appearance, Traits + Disadvantages
Tiann is a bit of a cold-hearted character, determined to show as little weakness as he can. His loyalty always lies with what he designates as "his pack" (which is, usually, a party of adventurers)

He wears his black hair half-long, often bound together with a piece of string; also, he has a trimmed beard that covers all of his cheeks and chin. His eyes are grey and a bit... well, cold. Clothes and equipment are simple and functional.

(NB: Favored enemy 1 = Humanoid (Human))

History

Tiann grew up in a logging settlement. He started working when he was six years old, and became part of the settlement's defense force upon turning fifteen.
The "defense force" consisted of all local able-bodied men and women, and it was needed on a regular basis, against incursions of bandits, goblins, wolves- until two displacer beasts managed to finally lay waste to the camp, the remains of which were abandoned soon after.

Some of the loggers, including Tiann, greatly admired the wolves, hard as they fought them. These loggers tried to emulate the loyalty and fierceness of a wolfpack, and after the camp was destroyed, they decided to stay together and hunt for a living.

Hunting, in time, turned to banditry and a philosophy that only the fit should survive. And soon after that, the bandits were confronted- and made short work of, by a group of adventurers. Most bandits were killed, but Tiann, who had been knocked out early in the fight, was "only" captured, and subsequently underwent two months of stern lectures by one of the adventurers -a paladin of Pelor, no less-, before being tried and sentenced to a year in prison.

The brainwash was not complete, apparently, but Tiann did learn a lesson about morality, and found a way to be a productive member of society... even if the pack still beckons...

Goals

From occasion to occasion, serve the Pack; cull the weak out of a population of prey... er, animals. Not humans... surely not humans, they should be protected. Even the weak (grmmbl....)
