So why am I a fan? Well, I'm not going to go into a big rant about his acting skills or what impact he's had on the world. I made this page because I identify with his offscreen personality and with his acting methods. One of my friends called me "rebel without a cause" when I was 11, and I had no idea what she was referring to. I didn't know who James Dean was until I was about 12, when I was watching Rebel without a Cause and a James Dean biography on late-night TBS programming. I had no idea the movie was well-known or who James Dean was, but I did think "so that's why she called me that." If you're wondering, no, I'm not a lookalike, and I don't try to be. I'm not in any fan club or anything. I don't worship him or any strange thing like that. I just admire his acting ability and drive. And, of course, it helps that he was damn good looking, let's be honest.
