Up in the Barn Loft

In the hay loft of the barn, in solitude,
where misery over took my heart.
Was it only a mirror, hiding a reflection
of yesterday’s love, as it fell apart

In ourselves, as love slips away, though the
lonely cracks of wind, then our love flew.
As two hearts acted out love, as love did not
stay, our hearts talked, where no love grew.

My heart will make it’s amend someday, if
there’s a return to the barn loft, to look outside.
Let there be a beautiful sight to see in a new
found love, that will be holding my heart inside.
