In America

Sixteen twenty-one
Was when immigrants enjoyed
Their first Thanksgiving!
Immigrants welcomed
The Indian Massasoit!
He was a treasure!
He was leader to
Ninety natives of valor
Who had persevered.
He carried with him
A very plentiful meal!
Leaders were adored!
A priest named Brewster
Observed the Supreme Being
With his gratitude!
He celebrated
Having a true place to live,
And the food God served!
They had the support
Of advocates around them
In America!
They celebrated
The liberty to decide
How to improve life!
They could now strive for
Equality for the ones
In America!
