Happy Valentine's Day...My Darren!

Love was dead and fading away.
I found my picture of you.
I remembered your face.
The autumn morning released
the delicious treasure!
We'd swim and kiss at sunset.
I felt found.
Once, I was a child who wandered
in the snow barefoot.
Worldly people never made
me feel beautiful.
My self-esteem was worn-out.
I found love in your company;
The place I enjoyed!
You were a poet and singer
bursting with the beauty in the night.
Your sunset was filling my
heart with a flood of love!
Your art gallery
Transformed a winter in my heart
With a masterpiece,
Painting flames that
kept my love afire!
The pools of your cobalt eyes were
refreshing in the desert heat
of nights in summer.
Crimson lights of autumn
reflected your poetry.
This morning, a glorious painted sky
Was glowing with heavenly crimson,
reflecting a rainbow of love beyond death!
I pushed away the feelings of
grief to relive your poetry.
As long as I feel your watchful eye,
I refuse to be broken.
I will every year wish you
Happy Valentine's Day...My Darren!

Authors Comments:
This poem is made up of both my
"Magnetic Word Poetry" entries at
www.shadowpoetry.com and my
entries to the "Poetry in
Motion Contest" at www.poetry.com.
But the main inspiration is
the song "You Can Still Be Free"
by Savage Garden. :)
