DEFINITION OF ALIENATION
Alienation has never been given a proper definition in terms of physiology, sociology, philosophy and anthropology.

People apply different meanings to the word alienation when the use it. This has come about because different scholars have applied different definitions to the word. This has made the word more complicated to use.

For example if you read
Hegel, Jean-Paul Sarte, Martin Heidegger, and Karl Marx each writer has given the word ALIENATION a different definition. Just as each of us will interpret the word differently.
THE ALIENATED HUMAN
Alienation is related to the degree of consciousness. A person will be alienated by his or her own degree of consciousness. All of us have the potential to be alienated, but very few have the awareness of what it is.

In reference to this statement each person experiences and expresses the alienation in a different way. It may influence some to be creative n a positive way whereas a non-creative person may respond in a negative fashion demonstrating hatred and anger.

To give an example of how two people demonstrate alienation would be to say:

A
creative person may create art for society such as writing poetry or painting.

A
non-creative person may try to damage society eg. vandalism or crime.

Both people using different forms to express themselves.

We are all part of a system - this system is called
society.
This is not of our own choosing but it is imposed upon us as a member of society, therefore we need to sacrifice something of ourselves to benefit from each other.

As a memeber of society we are entitled to be protected socially, legally and financially by law. In the meantime we have to sacrifice something of ourselves to enable society to contribute to cohabitation. For example paying taxes, protection during war time to contribute to growth of country.

The two sides of the equilibrium are
one the system and the second the individual. If the individual fails to contribute to the system he will be punished, however if the system fails the individual cannot punish the system. Therefore the equilibrium will be unbalanced and the individual will try to withdraw from the system, and then reject it, then hatred will set in until finally they have to release the pressure.
