Absolutely amazing. Just got copy of formal geneology of "my" wrights, done by Alfred S. Andrews and revised in l980. Can't find the company or any more info. i'm in there and would like to do some updating, altho there isn't much since this branch doe n't breed. Wilbur and Orville started a trend. I'm n. W 155 633 281 11 in the geneology, no kids, my brother died without kids, end of that one. Are all of the Wrights so, well, eccentric? this geneology is full of multiple divorces, suicides, religiou fanaticism (visions, etc). Anybody out there related to me???

In the story about Killing Rock Massacre I read the following:Ira Mullins born February 8, 1857 in Kentucky, the son of John and Martha Mullins of Pike County. Ira was a small time merchant, but moonshiner by rade. He married Louranza "Lou Ann" (Estep), May 10,1879 in Letcher County. and that Ira's brother-in-law was Wilson Mullins. In my family tree I have that Wilson and Ira were brothers and that their parents were David Mullins and Virginia Jane "Jenny" Short. Where am I wrong? Talton Hall was my great-greatgrandfather, Alexander (Elick) Hall's double cousin. He was the son of James Hall and Sara Johnson. I have heard several versions of Talt's story from my grandfather, father and uncles. One source claimed that Talt was cut d wn while still alive and a dog was buried in his coffin. The "Red Fox" Marshall B. Taylor, is a distant relative of mine. Some of his descendants believe that he wasn't really hung. They said that below the scaffol it was closed and the public couldn't view the body after it dropped thru the trap door, and t ey made the switch there. They tell that a railroad tie was buried, and that he left for the West, and lived a long life, and died out West. The grave wasn't in Wise Va. wasn't maintained, and he was loved by his family, and the think that it further proof. Plus the grave isn't/wasn't marked. Other stories tell about his son hiding him away, only to be caught, and his son was a leading citiz n, married to a Salyers women, whose dad was of Civel war fame. My 3rd greatgrandfather was Henderson Bates,his daughter Sarah married Joseph Simpson Adams, they had Nancy Adams, my grandmother.This past summer we went to Letcher County for a visit. I climbed the hill where John Wallis Bates and Sarah Walthrop are buried. It was a wonderful experience. James Bates is also buried there on Mr. McAuley's farm in Kona. Also I have 2 small books written about the Kentucky Giant.
