Mudcloth, or Bogolanfini, is handmade in Mali, West Africa.

Authentic mudcloth is 100% cotton fabric

This mudcloth poncho     is patchworked in two     authentic mucloth    patterns. The rust    background with a    dark brown pattern    bodice is bordered on    four sidesby a pale    mustard background    with dark designs.     The jeans have been    appliqued with    abstract shaped    patches from both    colors to match.

Although mudcloth is machine washable, drycleaning is preferred to preserve its rich coloring for many years.
