Welcome Friends
My Name is Nannie
This is my little Hideaway on the internet, and because I love gardening so very much I decided to call it Nannie's Garden Hideaway.  I hope you enjoy your visit and get to know a bit more about me.
To light a Special Candle
From my dear friend Tammy
Thank you
I think  one of the hardest things to do, is to be able to describe yourself to someone, but because this page is about me, I will give it a good try.........
Let's see, I am widowed twice  now, I married the first time in 1986 to a wonderful man whom I had hoped to spend the rest of my life with, his name is Michael, we had sooooooo much in common and cherrished each and every day with each other.  I don't think a day went by that we did not spend the entire day together, I guess you could say we had a 24/7 relationship, and it was wonderful.  But to my dismay, God decided he wanted him more, and in Nov. 1995 he passed away after a 9 month battle with cancer.  I never felt so alone in my whole life.  I had waited till my mid 20's to find "Mr. Right", found him and now he was gone.  So I went from the dependence of my parents ( I never lived on my own ever ) to the dependence of my new husband, now I am alone and had no idea which way to turn. After months of counseling and much support of my family and friends I decided I was way to young to stay alone and decided to find someone else to share my life and love with, and nearly a year later I found another most caring man, whom I feel deeply in love with.  Took me a while to realize and make sure I was not replacing my first love, and more counseling mademe realize this was not the case.  I met a man named Anthony and our relationship started buding in leaps and bounds.   On Valentine's day 1997 he proposed, and we married that June in a beautiful wedding in the Bahamas, which you will read all about in the pages to follow.

So on to a bit more about me, I enjoy meeting people and have a very good outlook on life although as many others I have good days and bad.  I am disabled (chronic low back problems) but I manage daily life just fine.  I like music, collecting beanie babie bears, rottweiler anything I can find, I collect Woody Woodpecker, I think he is cute and funny, always enjoyed him as a child too!!! I also collect lighthouses and have a great passion for Angels too. I love to garden and truly love the spring time and summer.  Currently I am living in New York and the winters do NOT agree with me, but this is home, this is where I was born and raised, so I guess it is one of those things where you have to take the good with the bad.
So I hope I have given you a bit of insight about me, and I promise you will understand more about me in the pages to follow.  Just follow the drop down box, pick a page and be surprised!!!
