More JOHNSON pics and history... |
At right are Ken and Jone's kids, 2000. Left, Mark Johnson who works for Tube Service Co., plays guitar and has a great lady friend Sue. He also plays beach vollyball and collects HOT WHEELS. In this pic it's his special day making the 40's club. Middle, Jill Johnson who is a nursing tech and works at Kaiser Medical Center. She loves her cats and aspires to becoming an Airline Stewardess. Right, thats me Eric Johnson who plays around on the computer and brings you this homepage. Also he enjoys his wonderful wife Kelly, son Gerrit and daughter Amanda and building vintage motocross bikes. |
Eric Johnson's first encounter with Santa - 1959, Apple Valley community center. He actually flew in on a helicopter! He looks a little woried! |
Here are brother's Eric and Mark getting ready for the daily "dirt-racing" on they're brand new Peddle-Car and Tricycle they got for christmas. We usually fought over who would get to ride either one, and older brother usually won out...Apple Valley, 1960 |

This is Eric as a teenager around 1970 actually winning moto-cross races at the old famous "Dead Man's Point" race track in Apple Valley CA. This place has a neat story behind it that includes the very beginnings of European Moto-X in the United States, and hopefully when I gather all my resources and contacts I will be writing a short history of this place. But, on this day in the pic at left was my very first race day ever and winning all 3 races to sweep for first place in the 100cc Junior race on a barrowed Yamaha MX100 from it's owner, Christy Wilsford of Glendora, CA. |
This pic is a classic. It shows a glimpse of how older brothers will tend to exert their influence on little sisters. Growing up in a dirt yard in the Mojave Desert, there are rocks and dirt clods all over the place. Well, being the mischevious brothers we were, Mark and I would feed these pieces of earth to Jill for a laugh. Can you see her smile as she gets ready to taste another? Shame on you Mark.......Apple Valley, CA. 1960. |
Jill Johnson at 5 years. She was always a cutie and loved to wear her dresses and red enamel shoes. Mother and daughter were very close and Jill to this day retains our mothers wonderful personality and heart......Apple Valley, CA. 1966. |
Kenneth Johnson Jr., and grandaughter Amanda our daughter - 1999 Apple Valley, CA. Do you see the resembelence here? That Johnson brow gives all of us away. |
Amanda Johnson - 2000, already growing up and on the move. We are very proud of our daughter as she fortunately has her mother's great heart and brains - Amanda is a straight "A" student going into the 7th grade in 2002. She aspires to one day becoming a Marine Biologist. |
