The Sons will be performing "America
the Beautiful" at the opening ceremonies of the Pennzoil 400 Nascar Race
on Nov. 11th. The race
will be televised on NBC starting at 12:30 ET with
a pregame show
staring at noon.
The Sons will be featured in the October issue of Playgirl
Magazine!
And Yes Ladies, before you start that email to ask,
they will be clothed.

SONS - WINNER OF 3 ACM AWARDS
Congrats to the Sons for the Nomination for Collaborative
Event of
the Year for "I Hope You Dance" with Lee Ann Womack
on the Fan
voted TNN Country Weekly Award Ballot. The show will
air June 13th
on TNN.
The Sons will be participating in the City of Hope Celebrity
Softball
Challenge. The game will be held at 1:00 on June 14th
at Greer Stadium
in Nashville.
The Sons will be performing on the Grand Ole Opry!
They are scheduled
to appear on both March 16 and 17, and their appearance
on the 17th
will be during the televised portion of the Opry.

The annual Country Radio Seminar
was held at the beginning of March in Nashville, and the Sons were all
over the place. One of the highlights of
the convention was when Trish
Yearwood, Vince Gill, Chely Wright, and
Sons Of The Desert performed
an acoustic style show at the new Country Music Hall Of Fame in downtown
Nashville. It was quite a moment for
Drew when he found himself singing
the chorus of "Adrianna" with
Vince and Trish.
Congratulations to the Sons for receiving ACM nominations
in Three categories. They are nominated for "Top New Vocal Duet/Group"
and nominated with Lee Ann Womack and "I Hope You Dance" for "Vocal
Event of the Year" and "Single of the Year".
The Award Show will be televised on May 9, 2001.
