biography
"An especial aura of joyfulness surrounds actress Natalie Cordone, who has that rare gift of being able to appear glamourous and bufoonish simultaneously."
                          - The Orlando Weekly, on her portrayal of five characters in David Ives short plays

Since her arrival in Florida, Ms. Cordone has garnered widespread praise for her comedic timing and versatile voice.  On her performance in Mad Cow Theatre's
The Fantasticks, the Orlando Sentinel glowed, "As [Luisa], dark-haired Natalie Cordone captures the flighty innocence of a creature on the brink of womanhood.  Her rich and full Mezzo-Soprano voice oozes with inner longing."  The Orlando Weekly similarly commented that, "Cordone brings out the passion in Luisa, who is awkward and graceful, funny and fierce."
In 2006 she joined the Orlando Opera's Young Artist Program.  Natalie's breakout performance occurred in 2007 as the The Old Lady in
Candide.  She also enjoys bringing the magic of opera to elementary school students in Orlando Opera's outreach performances ranging from The Mini Magic Flute to The Billy Goat's Gruff.  She also played to packed houses at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center as part of the Orlando Philharmonic's Young People's Concert.  These performances reach thousands of underprivlieged children each season.
She also regularly performs in concerts throughout Florida.  She has sung for Diva, Deborah Voight, the esteemed members of the Villages Opera Gala, and members of Mayor Rudy Giuliani's advisory board.  A proud member of Penguin Entertainment, Natalie contributes to the opera department as both a singer and director.
Natalie also continues to work as a musical theater actor and singer.  At the request of composer Erik Rockwell, the Orlando cast of
The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!) [TMOM] represented the show in Heidelberg, Germany.  This month, the cast will tour to South Florida before remounting the production in Orlando.  Past performances were sold out and highly praised, with Betsey Maupin of the Orlando Sentinel lauding, "The reason we should be grinning like fools is because [TMOM] has come to Orlando in a Jester Theater company so enticing we really don't mind not being in New York.  If Jester's not careful some musical theater nut is going to come kidnap the whole lot of them... and squirrel them away to perform the show again and again."
Some of her other favorite roles include Maddalena in
Rigoletto, Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense,  and Josephine in HMS Pinafore. In The Vine Theater's Bullshot Crummond, the Orlando Weekly joked, "Cordone... gets to toss comedic darts at her own innate poise, afflicting the outwardly dainty Rosemary with a laugh that betrays an uncanny kinship to Woody Woodpecker."
Her flair for comedy was noticed as early as 1999 when she played the role of Lady Teazle in Richard Sheridan's classic comedy
, School for Scandal. The Old Gold and Black noted, "Natalie Cordone turned in the best female performance.... Cordone held together the slow portions of this comedy and let the hillarious parts simply unfold."
She also enjoys working as a model and presenter for live conventions and has appeared in various television, radio, and print advertisements.
Natalie graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wake Forest University, immediately followed by a Masters of Fine Arts degree from the University of Central Florida's Theater Conservatory.
