In order to send and save your created patches, and update to the latest version of software for your Vetta Combo or Head, you will need to get a MIDI Interface and midi cables. The diagram above shows you the basic requirements for setup.

SendSX is a simple midi system exclusive program to use with the Vetta.

*special note* The Vetta has the ability to send sysex information for each preset without having the "specific" memory location associated with that particular patch.

If you use this program, please take notice of the fact that as you scroll through the different presets on the Vetta, the program change information for each patch will be sent into SendSx, and you will be able to see this in the Midi In window. All this extra sysex information should not be saved as part of a patch!

If you do not want to have a specific memory location associated with a patch you've created, make certain that you push the Clear In button to clear out any unwanted or previous sysex information before sending the actual patch information into SendSX.

If you do want to save a patch with a specific memory location, dial the Vetta to the patch either before or after the one you are wanting to save, push the Clear In button on SendSX (make certain there is no information showing on the screen), then turn one knob click forward (or back) to the patch you want to save, you will then see the specific memory location showing in SendSX's Midi In window. For example, the sysex program change information for patch 11A on the Vetta will show up as: C0 28

Then, press SAVE on the Vetta, use the Page knob to scoll to page 5, "Send MIDI Dump of Current Channel", hit Save again and the patch information is sent. Then click File on SendSX, choose Save Midi In As...name your file and you're done. To send sysex information back into the Vetta, simply open up the sysex file you want to send and press the Send button or hit F4.
