THE TEXAS MINI REX RABBIT CLUB INVITES YOU TO JOIN US FOR THE

2005 NATIONAL MINI REX SHOW & CONVENTION APRIL 2, 2005

AT THE BELL COUNTY EXPO IN  BELTON, TEXAS

 

CHECK-IN:  All exhibitors must check in with show secretary upon arrival and NO LATER than

                        8:00 P.M. Friday, April 1st.

 

TIME:  SHOW WILL START AT 8:30 A.M. SATURDAY, APRIL 2ND.

                     YOUTH – CLIFF DICK, JEFF HARDIN

                     STANDBY JUDGE – ARMANDO CABRERA

 

ENTRIES:  ALL ENTRIES (OPEN & YOUTH) ARE $6.00 PER RABBIT AND $3.00 PER RABBIT FOR FUR

                     SALE COOPS $3.00.

 

ENTRY DEADLINE:  ALL FEES, INCLUDING ENTRIES, SALE COOPS, BANQUET TICKETS, ETC.

                                        MUST BE POSTMARKED BY MARCH 12TH, 2005.

SHOWROOM WILL BE OPEN:

     FRIDAY, APRIL 1st FROM 10:00 A.M. -- 10:00 PM

     SATURDAY, APRIL 2nd FROM 6:30 A.M. -- 5:00 PM

NMRRC BANQUET – Open Bar 6:00-7:00 P.M.  Dinner 7:00 P.M. at Bell County EXPO Center’s Banquet Room

     SUNDAY, APRIL 3rd   FROM 6:30 A.M. – All animals must be removed upon completion of show 

 

There will be a Mini Rex Specialty Show on Sunday at 8:00 A.M. All entries (Open & Youth) are $3.00 per rabbit and $2.00 per rabbit for Fur.  ALL ENTRIES MUST BE COMPLETED BY 7:30 A.M.  Entries with fees may be mailed with your National entry or you may enter Sunday morning.  

 

HEADQUARTERS  MOTEL:  The Super 8 at Midway exit off of I-35 in Temple, TX.  Just 8 minutes from the showroom.  Single $49.95/Double $59.95.  You must mention you are with the Mini Rex Show to get these special rates.  CALL 254-778-0962.

 

CAMPING:  KOA is adjacent to the EXPO Center at exit #292 off of I-35  (254) 939-1961

 

Rabbit runners will be available to help get the animals to and from the show tables however it is the EXHIBITORS responsibility to make sure the coops are unlocked and the rabbit made it to the table for judging.

 

TMRRC will provide shavings for the coops.  Purina, Heinold, and Petrus rabbit feed will be available. Exhibitors are responsible for all food and water cups. These will not be provided.

 

Grooming tables will be allowed in designated areas only.

SHOW RULES:

1.  All animals must be permanently and legibly ear marked in the LEFT ear. Animals will be disqualified from

    competition if not properly marked.

 

2.  Substitutions will be allowed for same VARIETY, CLASS and SEX at no charge and must be made

     AT TIME OF CHECK-IN!!  NO CHANGES WILL BE ALLOWED AT THE SHOW TABLES!

3.  Any animals showing signs of DISEASE OR ILLNESS will be REMOVED from the show room.

4.  TMRRC reserves the right to add and/or delete judges as determined by the show committee. 

5.  Entries must be marked either OPEN or YOUTH.  Any entry not clearly marked YOUTH will be entered in OPEN.

6.  All rabbits must have Coop Numbers in their RIGHT ear.

7.  Any returned checks will be subject to a $25.00 processing fee AND MUST BE PAID AT TIME OF CHECK-IN.

 

8.  This show will be governed by the latest show rules of ARBA. The filing of an entry indicates  

     acceptance of ALL rules.

9.  TMRRC, Bell County EXPO Center, and the Super 8 Motel, will not be responsible for ANY loss or injury.

10.  Please use a separate entry form for the Sunday Specialty Show.

11.  Sale coops will be available on a first come, first serve basis for $3.00 per hole. They are based on availability  

       and must be ordered and paid for at the time of entry.

12.  No animals other than rabbits and Seeing Eye dogs will be allowed in the show building.  All rabbits must be 

        entered in the show or Sale Coops must be rented.  Only ONE rabbit per Sale Coop.

13.  All coops must be unlocked prior to 7:30 A.M. Saturday for the animal to be shown. TMRRC is not    

        responsible for coops that are locked on show day.  This includes zip ties.  Exhibitors are responsible for  

        getting their animals on the table for the Sunday Specialty show.

14.  Exhibitors not entered in the Sunday show will be released on Sunday, April 3rd at 10:00 A.M.  Please pick up       

        your National Show paperwork from the show secretary when you check out.  Sunday’s Specialty Show  

        paperwork will be mailed.

15.  It will be the exhibitor’s responsibility to keep their coops clean.

16.  Parents are responsible for their children and their actions. Please have respect for other people and their 

       property.

17.  Absolutely NO SMOKING in the SHOWROOM!

18.  No outside Food & Drinks are allowed in the SHOWROOM.  A concession stand will be available.

Plan to attend the ARBA Convention and Show in Indianapolis, Indiana Oct. 23-27, 2005.

 

** There will be a youth pool & pizza party on Friday, April 1st at the SUPER 8 - TIME: 5:30-6:30 P.M.

Details will be announced by the TMRRC Youth Committee.**

 

NMRRC BANQUET will be held Saturday night in the Bell County EXPO Center’s Banquet Room, casual dress.

Time: Open Bar 6:00-7:00 -- Dinner 7:00 P.M. -- Price: Adults $18.00 Children under 13 $9.00

Menu includes:

Beef/Chicken Fajitas - Cheese enchiladas - Mexican Rice - Refried Beans - Guacamole

Pico de Gallo - Sour Cream – Cheese - Flour Tortillas - Tostada Chips & Salsa

Dessert & Tea

 

Remember to bring something for the Auction. Proceeds will benefit THE 2006 NMRRC SHOW awards.
