Scarlet Banner Protests Held In Germantown

Residents of Germantown flocked to the streets on Sunday to voice their discontentedness over the recent events in Moscow in which Chechen terrorism left 140 dead. The demonstrators were outraged at the downplaying of this tragic event by the US media. The Germantown local news was also attacked for its complete lack of airtime of this incident which potentially could end up having international consequences.

"Just because it didn't happen in the US doesn't mean it isn't terrorism," proclaims 20 year old college student Alex Stroehmann, "these incidents affect everyone, and their perpetrators must be eliminated root and branch everywhere in the world if we want to feel safe. I think Russia should exact a serious military reprisal against those [Chechens] in their hometowns to show the world that nobody will submit to terrorism."

Although not all of the demonstrators felt so rash. Sara Buerger, a housewife in her early 30's, remarked, "Sure these Muslims done something wrong, but more violence ain't the answer," later on in the day police rescued her savagely beaten body out from underneath a group of vindictive high school students who took the events in Moscow very seriously and, though formerly pacifists, were up in arms over her comment. Many Stalinist Party members were also in attendance, and densely appearing among the throngs were large signs with the Hakensickle on one side and "American media is American self-centeredness" written on the other. The Stalinist Party Headquarters, which was the only organization in the downtown area not to close down because of the demonstrations, held a festival in the Stalinplatz afterward to celebrate the political awareness of Germantown residents, and to allow those demonstrators who wanted to join the party to enroll. Though the tally hasn't been made official, estimates place the number of Sunday's inductees into the Stalinist Party at between 450 and 500.

Reinhard Schicklgruber himself was in attendance and many in the crowd cheered for him to speak. Although he could not stay long at the festival, and was just leaving for a meeting with a local labor group which is hoping to form a union, he took the time to answer one question from the crowd. Asked what long-term effects he thought would occur if the US media's ignoring of foreign events continues, Mr. Schicklgruber commented, "It's obvious that the people will not just blindly accept what the press reports, nor will they disregard that which is deliberately not reported. These citizens want the truth, plain and simple, from a neutral point of view. The Republican agenda of the US news organizations will not sway the populous to their side with any amount of propaganda or untruths. In fact, the people cannot even be fooled by them, and they know where the truth can be found. The Stalinist Party will only continue to burgeon as the US government and the US media deny its citizens of what they want."

A march on Washington, DC as well as a boycott of all commercial media, has been proposed if the press does not change its attitudes. Any information about these contingencies can be found at this site if and when they are announced.
