| I have written, directed and edited a short fiction film called “A Different Sunday” shot on broadcast quality digital video (DVCAM). The film was a co-production with Digital Talkies, a company having distinguished filmmaker Shekhar Kapoor (Bandit Queen, Elizabeth fame) as one of the directors. The 20 minutes film was broadcast on Indie Film Show, NDTV (A popular Indian TV channel) on 22, 23 and 24 April 2005. Established bollywood film director Kundan Shah (Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron fame) reviewed the film and had a small discussion with me on the show. |

| Synopsis |
| Married men do not want to get out of their beds on a Sunday morning…more so if the wives and kids want them to.! ... till… they receive a telephone call! A common friend, who is visiting the city, says…. “Hey guys! Let’s get together!!!” The half-dead, snoring and evasive husbands Vikas, Garry and Johnny, suddenly become active at the prospect of an outing with their friend Rohit. Hook or by crook freedom is theirs. One flatters, another deals diplomatically and the third… plain lies! The four guys break free… meet up… and have ‘A Different Sunday’. |
