Find me part 1

No matter grey or grim
Its those tiny little sparks
Daily light that makes me
Forget my wounded heart
It doesn’t matter when
It may rain or it may shine
Blurry memories of us
Come back from time to time.

Stretching and yawing, Goku sat up straight in his lazy chair. He had been watching movies all night with his two sons and his he-is-here-too-often son... Trunks. He grinned when he noticed that the three younger half Saiyans had already fallen asleep, complete with a bottle coke in one hand.

Gohan had just reached the age of 27, and had a family of his own, which meant he rarely came home to visit.

Goten and Trunks were also growing up fast, with the occasional arguments on whether they were old enough to go out and drink beer or not. Each had caused Goku a great deal of trouble since it was hard to keep two Super Saiyans under control, especially with them training so much more now. In fact they’d both surpass him in strength soon.

He sighed, and wondered just how he’d get them to help around the house if they were powerful enough to say no and get away with it.

Carrying Goten to his bed and tucking him in, he went back to pick up Trunks up as well. They had simply put an extra bed in Goten’s room since the purple haired teen was almost always there. If he wasn’t, then Goten would be with him anyway.

He, Chi-chi, Vegeta and Bulma had been bickering a lot to get the boys a little more separated, but they all ended up agreeing that both boys should live with both families. Goku shrugged. As long as they were happy.

He found Gohan cuddling a large tv-magazine with his hand full of chips fallen onto the floor; snoring softly. Goku smiled and picked the young adult up. A nostalgic smile spread across his lips. It seemed not too long ago that he’d been carrying his oldest son to bed as a young boy, tucking him in and leaving the door open so he would see a bit of light. But Gohan was a grown-up now, and it
bothered him sometimes, because he didn’t always know what his son was up to. He grinned. He sounded like Chi-chi, who’d constantly worried about her little boys. But she wasn’t here anymore and Gohan could take care of himself now... he needed to get over it.

After putting his eldest son into bed, he grabbed a small glass of water and stepped outside, sniffing the sharp crisp air of the night. Then he looked up and tried to recognise the star-signs. The Saiyan grinned. He knew to find Orion, for the warrior that shone so gloriously in the sky, would always be pointing to the Sirius star... the brightest in the heavens. Goku let out a deep sigh, the stars looked so lonely now, alone up there... so far away. It felt as if something was missing... they shone with a beautiful but sad radiance. They looked so cold, that it seemed that they shone especially for the earth that was so warm now in
summer. It was as if they longed for that warmth and shone just to fell close to it. Goku snickered, he was getting too sentimental now. Hn. Stars having feeling? Yeah right. But deep inside he felt like that too. He had felt this way for years now, ever since he stopped loving Chi-chi, or when she stopped loving him. It was as if he too
was looking at all the people around him, happy and loving... but he was standing alone. He was alone. The years had passed by, his sons were growing up, doing things with their lives... but he seemed stuck in his life.

He bowed his head to the majestic stars and walked back inside. Turning the TV. off and deciding tomorrow would be a good day to clean up the mess, he walked upstairs to his own bedroom. Hearing some murmurs in Goten’s room on his way up, he opened the teen’s door softly and peeked around corner. It all seemed dark and quiet, except for a loud snore. Shrugging he closed the door and entered his own bedroom and fell onto the bed. His thoughts raced on about this empty feeling, making him sadder until he fell into a dreamless sleep.

A few miles away was the capsule corporation, completely silent and dark. Except for two small lights on either side of the house. On the
right hand side of the house, a light still burned in a small room covered in papers, with a sleeping Bulma on top of it all. The door was slightly open with a large onyx eye peeking through before it closed silently.

The prince sighed. He still found it odd to burry ones-self in so much work like Bulma did. What use were papers anyway? They’d only bring more worries and bad luck. It had broken her and him eventually. She worked too hard and had no time to listen to the whiny prince anymore. When a new employer passed their way, he shot straight to her. Not that he cared anyway. If the baka onna would choose a human male above him, sure, fine. He didn’t love her anymore.

He admitted that he had fallen in love with the woman many years ago and he was glad that she bore him a son since Trunks’ strength was worthy of a Saiyan prince. But when her father died and she had to
take care of the company, she had turned into a hellcat, leaving him with a young wailing son and a baby daughter. She herself had had no time for them anymore.

Slowly he had forgotten his feelings for her, sometimes even
hating her for making him put up with the bawling children, making dinner for the money-maker in the evening and spending the free time with the household. After all, he was a Saiyan prince, not a widower with tiny annoying brats to be raised... although it felt that way most of the time.

So when she found a new man, some distraction from their arguing, he was glad to be rid of her. The kids could almost take care of themselves now, especially since Trunks spent half of the week at the Son’s house. Now he finally had time to train again or keep himself busy. But still, sometimes late at night, he thought back to those early days, where time didn’t exist. Just training and having lots of fun. He coughed. And sex..

He had cared for her then, but she’d dropped him like a brick. Vegeta didn’t want to admit it, but silently he longed for those days again... where his heart would rise in his chest, as his koi teased him to come into the bedroom with her.

He softly padded across the hallway to his bedroom. Pity he had to go to the other side of the house to get there, straight across her quarters, and her koi‘s.

Once inside his room, he shrugged his shirt off and walked to the rooms small balcony. Sitting on the rail that fenced it, a glass of red whine in his hand, he stared into the distance, knowing he wouldn’t be able to sleep now anyway.
