Okay, so I know its long.. 24 pages should you want to know... Thats because this is just the first version and its not been cut up yet. Ill do that later, together with the correcting of any mistakes. Anyway, should you intend to read it anyway, have fun! Thisll be at least 100 pages long in the end ^_^ 'Mom!' Videl looked up from her magazine which she was reading on the dark leather couch in their home. 'Hey, welcome home honey.' she said with a smile and patted her daughter on her head. 'How was school?' 'Great! We are having a contest!' The little girl said with a big smile. 'Next week we have the puppet festival, did you know?' Videl smiled, she remembered how her family always had a display of very old dolls, passed down from mother to daughter for two hundred years. The last fight however had blown all the heirloom away and they never thought of buying a new set again. 'I havent thought about it yet, but you are right, it is indeed the time for the puppet festival. So what is the contest?' 'To see who has the most beautiful puppets! The winner will have theirs displayed in the main hall in the school!' chirped Pan. 'Wow! That is a lot of honor!' Videl said, happy to hear her daughter being into dolls and acting a bit more like the girl she was, instead of the quarter saiyan that popped up more often than her human side. 'Yeah!' 'But honey.. mommy doesnt have any dolls anymore you can use.' Videl said, feeling very sad in disappointing the girl. 'I know that! Grandpa Hercule told me last year when I asked him if we had any dolls. But the old dolls are boring.. Why not buy a new set and dress them ourselves?' Videl thought about it. She'd have a new pretty set that she could pass on and then Pan would pass on and thus create a new tradition in the Son family. 'That is a great idea honey! What did you have in mind?' 'It is the court of the emperor originaly so why not stick to that but make it a Chinese court! That way the robes and the room will be more colorful and elaborate. And the robes made out of shiny silk..' She said with dreamy eyes, seeing the court in front of her dressed in pretty pink, blue and green tones with shiny black. 'I am terrible at sewing honey..' Videl said, remembering the time she made a little dress for Pan that was more like gown and the arms stitched inches apart from eachother so when the girl had worn it, she would have looked all crooked. 'The mom of Kira will help me with that! She said she could teach me sewing and Kira will help me too. So we'll win together!' Videl nodded and got off the couch and packed her purse. 'It's a great idea. Let's go buy your dolls and some fabric you can work with.' 'Yay! Thanks mom!' Pan hugged her mom and squeeled. 'Hey mom?' 'Hm?' 'Think we could use the dragonballs in the display? They are sorta Chinese with the dragon and all..' 'I dont know about that..' 'Come on, nobody knows how to summon Shenron anyway! And they glow so pretty..' 'I'll ask, but dont count on it okay? We cant take any risks.' Pan nodded and skipped to the car after her mother. A little hour later they returned with two boxes with dolls and three patches with the finest Chinese silk in silver and blue, red and yellow and black and purple patterns painted on them and when Gohan came home later that day, he found his family and that of Kira's stitching together on the kitchen table. Ordering out probably was the best idea right now, he figured, shaking his head in wonder at the sudden girl activity around him. After a short phone call with his father, they agreed that it was okay that Pan used the dragonballs, be it that they would take them home every day. One day before the contest, Gohan called every member of the original member of the z-fighters to search for their dragonball so Goku could pick it up with his instant transmission. Everyone was delighted at the idea, and took it as an opportunity to meet one another again and have a small party. Gohan kept the 4-star ball in his possession instead of Goku, who was not home most of time, off meditating, training or sparring with Vegeta. 'Videl?' 'Yes Gohan?' She replied, not looking up from her work, sticking a small drum in the hands of one of the puppets. 'Do you remember where we put the dragonball?' 'Dont tell me you have forgotten it..' She said with a face that could have matched Vegeta's baka snarls. 'It's been three years since we last used them.. So I cant quite remember now..' 'You are hopeless..' his wife said with a heavy sigh.'It's in that small room where we keep a lot of your mother's things.' Gohan nodded and walked up the stairs untill he got to a room at the end of the hall with a small door. When he opened it, the sweet smell of his childhood came back in his mind, and smirking he remembered the days of forced days of study and happy evenings with everyone together eating enough food to have supplied a small army. It had been a happy time and he thought back to it with a smile on his face but it also saddened him to see all of his mothers belongings without his mother handling them. Chi-chi died only two years ago and he had stored all of her things in this small room as Goku got too confused to have them around him anymore. His father had kept some small things, but her dresses, pans and favorite books and things had been brought to their house. They smelled of her and tore him up inside. The smell bringing back so many good memories and one very sad one. He dismissed the last thought, valueing the memory of her alive a lot more than the memory of her death. He shoved some boxes and silk dresses aside and dug in to find the ball. Remembering it had a faint orange glimmer, he turned off the light and dove in once more, but after an hour of digging and removing everything from the room, he didnt find what he was looking for. With a sigh he went back downstairs to ask his wife where the sphere was. 'Isnt it there?' She asked, frowning in surprise. 'I'm sure I put it there. Let me look.' And she followed him up the stairs and ploughed her way through the boxes in the hallway. When she finally struggled her way into the room, she opened one of the small white cupboards on the right and looked inside. She then closed the door again and looked in the cupboard next to it. When that one didnt hold the ball either, she looked back at her husband. When she got a blank look back, she reopened the first door and beckoned him to come closer and take a look. 'See?' she said, nodding at him. 'I dont see anything.' He replied, finding nothing inside but a small red cushion. 'Except for the cusion that dad used for the dragonball..' 'That is the point..' She said, worry sounding in her voice.'I put it there sometime, but I never took it off the cushion or even looked at it. Did you take it?' 'Why would i?' he asked, wondering where the darn ball could be now. 'Are you sure you put it here?' 'Yes, I'm sure. I didnt take it, you didnt take it, no one else took it I'm sure..' 'Pan!' Gohan yelled down the stairs. 'Have you been playing with the dragonball?' 'No daddy!' Came a small voice from downstairs. Videl and Gohan looked at eachother in question. Gohan raised an eyebrow, thinking how odd it was that a dragonball could dissappear so suddenly. He sent out a message to Dende, checking if he was alive and when a reply came, his wonder only grew. 'Mom! Dad!' Pan screamed up the stairs.'Trunks, Bulma and Bra-chan are here!' Videl shoved the major debris of their search back into the room while Gohan went down to welcome the guests. When he came down, Bra and Pan were chatting like little girls, stroking and fondling the clothes they had made for the dolls. He smiled at the scene and almost forgot about the dragonball untill he was tapped on the shoulder and heard a familiar giggle. 'Bulma! How nice of you to come!' He said, kissing her on both her cheeks in greeting. 'You too Trunks.' They looked good, he thought. Bulma still was the proud owner of bright aqua colored hair, although it had lost a bit of the brightness in age. Small wrinkles lined her mouth and the corners of her eyes, but for a woman of almost 55, she looked much younger. Apparently the ageless faces of her saiyan husband had worn off on her. The same applied to Trunks, his face still that of a young man instead of that of a full grown adult. When Trunks smiled at the warm welcome in their house, he saw a flash of Vegeta's face and Bulma's eyes cross his face. Underneath his dominant human looks, the royal features of a saiyan prince were still present. 'Where is Vegeta?' He asked them. They chuckled. 'Where else than training at home?' Gohan grinned, he should have known it. It would take a atomb bomb to get that saiyan out of his gravity chamber. 'If I didnt know any better, I'd say he got married to the darn place.' Bulma said with a bitter smile. 'But lets not talk about that right now.' She quickly added to the remark and hurried to Videl who was greeting her from the stairs and the two chatted on. 'She still has trouble with the divorce.. so lets not discuss that now okay?' Trunks told gohan. A year had passed now, but the fact that the prince still was living in their house, be it a large house, and his strong presence was still a pain to his former wife. It had been Bulma who wanted the divorce, unable to cope with his barking all day, always training and never there to help her with anything and when she met a fellow scientist who was exactly on her level, she had pressed on on the divorce. Vegeta hadnt complained that much as long as he could live in the house and use its facilities and time told that it had been his children that convinced him to stay for them and not to leave their mother alone. They could not live without eachother, the racial differences being to great, nor live with eachother. But it worked quite well, he was always training and she was always working. Gohan nodded at Trunks in agreement not discuss anything mattering Vegeta, her new boyfriend or anything of that matter. But he did have one important question for her, so he put a hand on her shoulder asking for attention. 'Say Bulma. Do you still have the dragonradar?' 'Yes off course. Why?' 'Because we need the dragonball and ours is kinda lost.' He said with a stupid grin on his face, scratching the back of his head in embarrasment. 'You lost the dragonball?!' She spat at him and groaned. 'Lucky for you that I had counted on a Son's stupidity and brought it with me.' And with that she dove in her purse and fished it out, handing it to Gohan. Clicking the top of the radar, he waited for the faint green dots to appear on it. But to his astonishment, the screen remained blank. He adjusted the width and range of it, he hoped to find at least something, but even at maximum range, nothing showed up. 'Maybe it's broken..' He murmured. Bulma snatched it out of his hands and opened it. Upon examining it, she put the lid back and gave it back to Gohan. 'Its not broken. Try again.' And he tried again, but still nothing showed up. 'Did you bring your dragonball Bulma?' he asked her, remembering how everyone had promised to bring the dragonballs for Pan's contest. 'No, didnt you know? We gave it to Yamcha because after several threats we did not find it safe enough to keep it in the house. Especially not after we found a leak.' 'Hey guys!' 'Speaking of the devil.' Bulma said with a smirk, seeing her former boyfriend come through the door with a huge white back with various bottles and packs of food sticking out. 'Yamcha! Great that you're here! Brought the dragonball?' Gohan immediately asked, now getting worried about them. 'No, I couldnt find it. I hoped Bulma with her radar could find it for me.' Gohan looked at Videl, who looked at them with wide open eyes in shock. Two dragonballs gone. With the dragon radar not giving any information, they decided to keep it at this and wait for the others. As the afternoon progressed and flowed over into the evening, more people came to the house. Krillin with his wife and daughter, Piccolo, Goku and Goten, Master Roshi, Tien and Chaozu, even Yajirobe had followed his tiny nose to the heaps of food Goku and Goten had brought as well. But none of them had been able to bring a dragonball, which worried them all. Gohan silently send out a message to his friend Dende, now guardian of the earth and keeper of the dragonballs. For a second he was worried that the young man had been killed which would have made the dragonballs dissappear, but to his relief he received a questioning message, asking him what was the matter. Dende was still alive, and the dragonballs still existed, he thought, but where? Finally, after allowing Bra to sleep over and sending both girls to bed, they all sat down and discussed the strange occurance. It was almost two in the morning when they all decided they should head for the alseeing crone, Baba Uranai, to find at least one ball. The next day, Videl took the girls to school with all the dolls and without the dragonballs, much to the dismay of Pan. Goku came back and picked up Gohan and together with Goten, Piccolo and Yamcha, he stopped by the capsule corps place to pick up Vegeta, just to make sure he had the strongest guys with him. Reluctant, the prince gave in to giving up his training for a chance to fight and went along. Goku then instant transmissioned them to the house in the desert, the house of Baba Uranai. Remembering the last time he went there to find a dragonball, Goku had decided to bring the strongest warriors with him in case they had to fight since none of them wanted to pay a million zeni. Not that had it.. Except for Vegeta, but it was not likely that he'd gove it away. 'Goku, how nice of you to drop by.' She said, turning around on her ball to face the four fighters. 'You knew I'd be coming.' He said with a grin. 'Yes, and that you idiots lost the dragonballs.' she said, slightly annoyed that they had lost them. 'They lost the dragonballs, so please dont count me with these fools.' Vegeta snapped at her, but everyone ignored him. 'No one knows what happened and its just to make sure they didnt fall into the wrong hands.' Goku explained to her. 'Yes, that would be a shame now would it? Although, maybe I could get to see a good fight this time then if it were so.' Goku remembered her obsession with money and fights and he got ready to fight her five opponents in return of searching for the balls. 'Now lets see then.' She said, getting off her ball and murmuring a spell of some sort. 'Arent we going to fight for it? We dont have the money to pay you.' 'Forget about the money already! And if I let you guys fight my champions I wont have any money left myself to pay for them since you'd beat them in no time flat the way you are now.' Vegeta turned around and mumbled various cuss words. No fighting. What the hell was he doing here then. He was getting ready to leave when he felt a curiosity well up to see what did happen to them. It was good for him too if he found out some foe wasnt resurrected or something and was made immortal. Goku and the others fell on their back in surprise. When they got back on their feet with major sweatdrops behind their heads, they saw her staring into her ball and sighing heavily. Goku could barely see flashes of desert and woodland go through the ball, obviously having a had time finding the balls. 'Ah!' she said, and the group flung over to her to look in the ball to see what she saw. 'There is one!' She said, tapping against the crystal. Goku looked closer and found nothing but sand, rocks and some grass. 'I cant see Baba. Where is it?' 'Right there you fool! There! Next to the solemn lying rock near the patch of grass.' Goku narrowed his eyes and could only see a small rock. 'I can only see rocks Baba..' he groaned. 'No shit sherlock.' she snapped at him. 'It is a rock.' Piccolo said and Goku stared at him in confusion. 'There,' he said, pointing at a single round rock. 'There it is. A round rock.' 'It turned to stone?! Where is this?' 'It appears to be somewhere in the mountains in South-America.' 'What?! That far? Dammit.' Goku put two fingers to his fore-head, flashed away and came back a few seconds later, holding a small round rock with just the right size for a dragonball. Everyone stared at the small thing in his hands. 'Its stone.' Yamcha managed to blurt out. 'We know it is stone moron.' Vegeta growled. 'Its more important why it is made of stone. Did someone make a wish?' Everyone shook their heads. 'Never had to after the last showdown.. Maybe they are just reloading themselves..' 'They do that?' Vegeta asked her with a frown, thinking he knew everything about them just like Goku. 'Not that I know off..' Baba said, thinking about the history of the dragonballs.'But on the other hand, maybe they are indeed reloading themselves. We havent studied them for very long after all and they havent been left alone for so long yet. So that could be the matter.' Relieved, Goku put the ball in his pocket. 'Well, the sky didnt turn dark anyway, so the balls reloading seems the best explanation.' He patted his pocket with the ball inside it. 'But as long as I have this one, nothing will happen.' 'Yes, you keep that and take good care of it this time. Now get out, you are keeping me up.' 'Yes yes.' Goku bowed hastily as he was shoved out of the hall. 'Thanks for looking Baba!' 'Hn.' 'Thats just peachy..' Vegeta groaned. 'I gave up a valuable day of training for nothing? Thanks a lot guys.' 'Come on Vegeta. You can still fight.' Vegeta frowned. Goku was stretching and cracking his neck and shoulders. 'It has been a while since I had a good fight. So train with me then!' 'With you?' 'Yeah! It'll be better then training alone.' 'Hm..' Vegeta soaked in the thought of fighting Goku and hard as his pride wanted to admit, the chances of beating him now were still not perfect. They were almost equal in skill. Almost. But on the other hand, the saiyan was right. He needed a real fight, and with Goku he could go all out without any regrets. 'Sure.' 'Great! Lets go home then and do some training!' He squeeled, anxious to get into a real fight again. Vegeta was strong enough to make him break a good sweat and he looked forward to fighting him again, since it had been months since they last sparred. 'Go home?' Vegeta asked in wonder, wasnt the desert they were in now not good enough? 'Yeah,' Goku began, scratching his head had with a goofy grin. 'I'm hungry..' Vegeta sighed. He should have known that the baka wanted to eat already. The sun was already high in the sky and noticing his own hunger, he gave in and went along to get some food. And then some fight, a good nice all-out fight. Within no time, everyone had gathered at the house of Gohan and told him what Baba had suspected and showed him the dragonball which was turned into stone. Like everyone else, Gohan had agreed that the dragonballs was the main reason for them to change into stone. He too, hadnt seen the sky go dark nor sensed the strong power of the dragon as it appeared, which it should have if it had been summoned. Everyone quickly decided not give the matter a second thought, thinking that since the dragonballs were made of stone now and they had one to keep an eye on untill they became filled with energy again. Relieved, Gohan went out shopping with his wife and came back with bags filled with food and within an hour everyone in the house could be found at the table, gobbling all the food down. After the worst scavenging, Vegeta slammed down his plate and glared at Goku. He was eager to fight, eager to pummle that blank mind of Goku into the ground. The way he let himself be led by food and the way he dealt with every situation, it was annoying to him. On one side, he totally exagerated every situation at first and then totally underestimated it. Vegeta himself had been panicked by Goku's reaction at first, knowing what the dragonballs could do in the wrong hands and when afterwards all the fool could think about had been food, it had annoyed him to no end. 'Kakarot.' Vegeta quickly growled when he saw Goku relax and almost doze off after his dinner. 'What is it Vegeta?' 'Arent you forgetting something?' 'Oh yes! You wanted to train!' 'Glad you remembered it.' 'Okay. Sorry guys, I'll see you all later. Come on Vegeta, lets go!' Goku walked outside and heard Vegeta follow him outside. His feet never made a lot of sound, but it was the usual way of breathing of him that was a dead give-away now. He breathed as if he was sighing all the time, inhaling without sound, but exhaling loudly. It was also a sign he was annoyed by something, but knowing Vegeta, it was probably his way of eating again or forgetting about their fight. Without thinking about it any further, he jumped into the sky and fly off, followed by Vegeta. 'This is far enough Kakarot.' 'Okay. What you want.' They stopped at an open patch of grass in the middle of the woods and when Goku had taken enough distance, he got into a fighting stance. Vegeta however simply stood there with his arms crossed and didnt move. Goku stared at him, dressed in his usual dark blue spandex suit, which fitted him like a second skin. Underneath it, his muscles clearly showed and Goku noticed how he looked a bit broader now, his body a bit more balanced in proportion than it used to be. The prince was also calm, too calm for his usual self, Goku thought. He must have been training a lot, for standing there like this, radiating confidence all over, he must possess an even greater amount of control over his mind and body. It exited him, the way he stood there, the royalty almost dripping off him and the control he had now. This was going to be marvelous fight and he grinned, the thrill of the battle already flowing through his veins. He lunged forward with one arm extended to give a hard blow aimed at Vegeta's face. Much to his surprise and excitement, the prince didnt move but simply knocked the arm away and slammed his own fist in Goku's stomach. Goku bend down as if he was in pain, but he simply gripped Vegeta's leg and threw him into the sky and then followed him and they both flashed out of sight and only a trained eye could see them exchanging punches and blows at hyperspeed. Goku slammed into a rock wall and saw Vegeta lying on the ground several yards away, the right hand raised, still slightly smoking with the ki-blast that sent him flying. He tried to lift his own arm and wrestle himself free, but it took a great deal of effort to even move a muscle. He groaned, relaxed and slid down the rock and finally landed on the ground. He narrowed his eyes, trying to find Vegeta, but now he was on the ground, looking for the black spot that was his spandex suit was easier. Then a loud rumbling noise signaled that the prince was coming at him through the trees, flying just above the ground. Goku grinned, he sensed his ki and just when he was about to appear, he vanished and appeared behind the smaller saiyan, gripping him around his waist and slamming a fist into his back. Vegeta hadnt anticipated the assault and screamed in pain as his spine was suddenly crushed and he bit the dirt. But even though his body was in pain, he managed to turn around and land a fist right into Goku's battered cheek. Goku felt all power leave his body by the still powerful blow and he fell forward on top of the prince. That became a bit too much for Vegeta as well, having a heavy body lying on top of his painful stomach, straining his spine. He too went limb and neither moved for several minutes. Goku opened his eyes and was immediately struck by an intense pain in his head. Clutching his forehead he tried to figure out where he was and why the hell he felt like having slept way too much. His head hurt, he was feeling hot and his muscles were burning. Then he realised the reason he was feeling hot was the prince below him, still unconscious. If he had landed on the ground, he should have been cold, but the heat radiating from the body beneath them had felt like a warm blanket covering him. He looked down at him, grinning that the fight had been good and they both had wore him out. For a second, he felt compelled to roll off him and wake him up to go home, but to see the prince sleep like this, his face calm and peaceful, was a rare moment. It was fascinating the way he looked asleep, so relaxed, free from the harsh ego he was always hiding in. He leaned forward and studied the sleeping face. It had distinct features, it was purely saiyan and more than that. Goku didnt know why, but it was beautiful, powerful and royal. The curves, his brow, the black hair like fire, the strong muscles that were perfectly sculpted in his neck and shoulders. Everything was in perfect balance and it released an ancient saiyan instinct in him, forced to admire it, to see the king in him. It made him realise he was a prince, a warrior. The sheer beauty of his face and body screamed his status out. At that moment, he felt privileged to be friends with this otherwise unreachable being, this.. prince.. the ultimate form of perfection of his race. He himself was the strongest for sure, but Vegeta was.. perfect, beautiful and strong. Goku lifted a hand and hesitated, wondering what he was doing. But the saiyan in him had decided to take advantage of the unconscious prince. He wanted to touch the skin, feel the muscles for real this time, without hurting it, without slamming a fist in it but feel it. Just feel. His hand slowly descended and touched his cheek. Goku sighed, at one side relieved Vegeta hadnt woken up and on the other side from the excitement of being able to touch him as Vegeta would never have allowed such an intimate thing. He slid his fingertips over his brow. Vegeta's skin was smooth and soft, something he didnt expect from such a fierce fighter. He had expected something rough, like he was, not like this. This skin was silky and warm and only added to the beauty of the prince. Then Vegeta groaned and twisted his neck, his head turning a bit more to the side, unaware of his delicate neck being fully exposed like this. Goku immediately pulled his hand back in shock. But when Vegeta didnt move any more, he laid his hand on his jaw and he let it slide down to his neck. Beneath the pale skin he felt the prince's heartbeat in his veins. His heartbeat, thought Goku and he grinned, I could break his neck like this. He pushed a little harder on the neck, enjoying the sudden power and the thrill of feeling the man so alive underneath his touch. It felt good, he was fascinating and so alive right now. But the pressure to his neck had been a little bit too much and Vegeta stirred and just when Goku released him and shot up, his eyes flew open and two confused black eyes stared at him, but quickly the confusion was replaced with anger and pride. 'What are you doing?' His dark, hoarse voice asked Goku, who stared at him and fully got to his feet. 'Nothing.' 'Hn. Nothing? You were sitting on top of me. Oh wait.. It was that heavy body of yours that made me go out right?' 'I wouldnt know. I can only remember hitting you on your back and next thing was me waking up on top of you. So yeah, could be that I made you go out.' 'Great. I hit you so hard you cant even remember taking me out. It does spare me for more embarrasment than finding you on top of me. Ow..' He groaned as he too got up, his back heavily protesting. 'You are getting better Vegeta. You hit me quite hard.' Goku said with a grin as he stretched, also feeling his muscles ache. 'Good. I'll make sure to remember knocking you out next time.' 'Call it a tie.' 'Whatever.' He grinned. 'But next time I will win and enjoy whiping that innocent smile off your face.' 'I'm looking forward to it.' Goku smirked, only he knowing it was him who saw Vegeta beaten and vulnerable. But telling the prince that would be a final blow to his pride, so Goku decided to keep the planned smart remark to himself, together of a precious memory of something he would probably never feel again. 'As I apparently knocked you out, we better get some treatment and head home. I'm hungry.' Magic word for Goku. He nodded and both men found a bit power regained while being unconscious and they both flew off to the capsule corporation, knowing that the medical facilities would get them back to normal almost just as quick as a senzu. 'Hey dad! How was the fight?' Goten asked with when his father walked into the room in search of something to drink after the workout. 'Good I guess. We both got knocked out without knowing it.' 'I guess he's getting better then. Better watch your back next fight.' 'Yeah, he was amazing. He must have done some awesome training the past few weeks. He was incredibly focused and balanced. Its been a long while since I had to pay a lot of attention.' 'Wow, thats scary coming from you.' Goten grinned. 'What have you guys been up to?' Goku asked, nodding to Trunks who was sitting next to him with a very focused gaze to the extra large television screen at the other end of the room. 'Oh, nothing. I tried to challenge Trunks to a game, but he was desperate to see the news. Something at the office caught his attention. Wanna stay here? Trunks asked me to stay so I bet it wont be a problem if you are staying too. That alright Trunks?' 'Hm.' 'Trunks!' Goten nudged his best friend. 'Hm? Oh yeah! Sure sure.. now be quiet and let me watch.' 'What is so important?' Goten groaned, obviously feeling left out. Goku looked at the television, wondering what all the fuss is about. Usually around this time he could find his son and his best friend getting into trouble, play games or fight. Trunks being consumed by the television was a rare sight. ||...Why. We.. seem to have a new report coming in. It appears that a young woman in Kyoto was murdered a little over an hour ago in her house. She shows the same signs of the other victims..|| 'Other victims?' 'Sh!' Trunks hissed at Goku and pointed at the tv, signaling him he wanted to listen. ||There is no connection between this woman, Kira Genmori, and the other two victims. The way they were murdered however is the same, but more violent this time. The first victim, Gianni Fujiaki was surprised by his house as well and simply shot through the head. The second victim, Oriya Ikito, was also surprised at his house, but beaten before he was shot. The police suspects the killings done by various men, though it is striking that all murders have happened close to eachother, the last one apparently just 48 minutes after the last one. Police admits the resemblance but refuses comments on a serial killer. Thats it for now on this subject, now on to the weather. Aki, what can we expect from..|| Goku frowned, slightly alarmed by the killing. 'Where is Gohan?' He asked the two boys, hoping that as saiyaman Gohan was busy tracking the killer down. 'We dont know. Maybe he is hunting this freak.' 'You cant expel murder out of the world Kakarot..' Came the voice of Vegeta, suddenly standing behind him. 'But Vegeta..' He began, but was soon cut short by the prince. 'No matter how good your son is, he can never stop all the killing in the world. So dont worry, this is reality.' With that, he walked away with a shrug. Goku remembered Vegeta's own past as ruthless killer, but he sighed when he realised that no matter how hard they tried, people would always die. He hoped his son or the police could get a hold of this man before he could kill anymore. Pan's puppet display proved to be a succes and despite the abscence of the dragonballs, the judges were very impressed and at the end of the festival they declared her the victor. The news was not a surprise to her mother and father or anyone else in her school, but Pan doubted her chances, since she had to do without the magic of the dragonballs. But that she won anyway, quickly made her forget them and enjoy her newly acquired fame at her school. But just two days after the festival, one week after the discovery of the missing dragonballs, more people got killed. The first one of the week was a young school girl, also shot in the back. The second was an american tourist who had been visiting Shinjuku. He too was shot, but after forensic detectives examined his body, it had appeared to be beaten severely before the bullet through his head had ended his life. Again, Goku wondered why there had been so many killings and he asked his son if he could help. Gohan however had been busy with the killer for the whole week, but every time he even slightly thought he knew where he could find the killer, he had been too late. Eventually he had missed him by just such short of a time, he himself had to get out of the crime scene before the police suspected him. 'Baba!' Goku shouted in front of her palace. The grumpy old woman floated outside, annoyed that he had disturbed one of her fight. 'You again. What do you want?' 'Where are the other dragonballs?' 'Why do you want them? Who knows how much longer they take to become active again.' 'We'll have to risk it.' 'What is the hurry?' 'People are getting killed and not even Gohan can find the killer. We need the dragonballs to stop him.' 'The mighty Goku needs the dragonballs again.. Hn.' 'Please!' 'Okay okay! But then you leave and call next time when you are coming again! This is the second time you interupted a match.' 'Yes yes I promise. Now please find them so I can gather them.' 'Hold your horses already..' She groaned and murmured the incantation that would make the dragonballs appear. 'Okay. Write this down as you wont be able to find them without the radar. The first one, you got one already right?' 'Yeah.' 'The first one is in.. ' She began. She listed in extreme detail the remaining 6 dragonballs, ranging from somewhere in the ocean, to on top of a skyscraper. Goku quickly went home and called everyone he could find willing to help. 'Trunks! Good you are here!' 'Anything to help.' He grinned, happy he was going to help stop the murders that had gotten his attention and had made him worry, especially when Gohan couldnt stop them. 'Thanks! Sorry to make you leave work for this.' 'They can handle it without me. Who is here already?' 'Piccolo, Gohan, Videl, Yamcha, Vegeta..' 'Vegeta too?' 'Yeah, he said he wanted to see some new places and he hoped to fight some strong creature to get to the dragonball.' Trunks frowned, his father had never been very into the dragonballs since Freeza. 'And he said he wanted to get rid of my whining and yours too.' Trunks sweatdropped, realising he had pushed his father a bit too much about the murders. He talked about them every day and he had gotten information about every victim to find any similarities so he could help Gohan to find the assassin. But he never found any connection except that the murders were increasing in brutality. 'I see. I already found it sounding odd he wanted to help us.' 'He said he had enough of your detective work and hoped you got into a real fight for a change.' 'That sounds like dad alright. He thinks I'm getting weak sitting behind a desk all day. Is Goten here already?' 'No, not yet. I couldnt reach him either.' 'Today is thursday?' 'Friday.' 'He goes out on friday Goku.. He probably has a date or something. No one can reach him then, believe me.' 'We can find them ourselves fine too. Now, lets get to work.' Goku gathered everyone around him and told them where to go. He himself took the toughest place, a dragonball on top of a mountain in the Himalaya. Vegeta had protested and had wanted the hard task but when he found Goku had reserved a special dragonball for him, he quickly agreed to do that one. He had to go miles under water to find it, dealing with immense water pressure, no oxigen and whatever hostile creature was living so deep. Other dragonballs were have to be found in caves, deserts, in a hotel and to Yamcha's dismay, down a sewer. Tasks devided, they all flew off to find the balls and come back at Goku's house after four hours. Goku grunted, it had taken him almost three and a half hours to find the bloody mountain and to find a dragonball that was nothing more than just a round rock. He regretted giving the 'ocean' dragonball to Vegeta. The mountain the ball was on was half covered in snow and off course, the ball was just almost near the summit. He hated the cold and the snow had left him soaked and frozen to the bone. Flying home through the night, wind lashing around him, only added made him feeling worse. Suddenly he felt a familiar ki skyrocket. Without thinking he flew towards it, trying to remember who was searching in this area. But the ki didnt belong to the ones he sent out to search, instead it belonged to his youngest son, Goten. That alarmed him even more. When he got to his son, he found him crying franctically over something he had in his arms. His power had dropped to almost nothing now. Goku ran over to him and called out his name, but his son didnt react to it. 'Goten!' He yelled again and crouched next to his son. Then blood left his face and his voice froze in his throat. His son was holding a young girl of his age with long dark red hair, and he was softly muttering a name over and over again, Eri. She had her eyes wide open and was staring at him, but they were hazy and a bit white. From the corner of her mouth came a long bright red trail of blood. Goku followed it down and found it ending in her red shirt. At first he thought it was red, but when he saw patches of yellow shine through it, he realised it had been blood. Blood coming from two incredibly deep cuts on her stomach. A large puddle of blood formed beneath her as the last drops left her body. 'Goten..' He said in a sigh, feeling furious about being so helpless. Even more because he recognised the girl as Eri Matsumi, a girl Goten had talked about a few times. Goten noticed his father and fell silent for a second. He dropped the body and clutched the orange gi of his father like he had done as a child, continueing to scream out his rage and sadness. It didnt take long before his crying got soundless and the sirenes of coming policemen became clear. 'What happened..' Goku managed to ask Goten when he had calmed a bit, sitting against the wall looking at the body of his girlfriend, now covered by a white sheet and surrounded by people making notes and pictures. 'I dont know.' He said in a very soft voice, staring to the ground. 'I forgot my coat and went in to get it, she was supposed to be waiting for me. But when I got outside.. she..' He fell silent again, swallowing hard to find the words. 'She was lying on the ground, bleeding from everywhere..' 'Did you see anyone? Or sense anyone?' 'No.. I wish I could have. I would love to rip his arms off and torture him to death right now. Such a person doesnt deserve to live.' 'Think real hard. I know its difficult, but please. We need to know who did this and stop him.' 'I'm sorry.. I know I should have sensed something wrong, but there was nothing. Only when I got outside could I sense Eri's ki fade away. She died just a few seconds after I got to her.' He sighed and looked away. 'Mr. Son?' 'Yes?' Both men said, causing a very confused look of the officer who asked for them. 'Excuse me, but I am looking for Goten.' 'That is me.' Goten said and got up to his feet as the officer beckoned him for his report. Goku remained on the ground and suddenly remembered everyone was probably waiting for him at his house. He closed his eyes and sent a message to his son, in short telling him everything what happened just now. Gohan was shocked and Goku immediately got a message back from Trunks that he demanded to stay at their house for Goten. Goku agreed, knowing his son now needed his friends and family, even if he wanted to be alone. 'How is he doing?' 'Good, I guess. For someone who just found his girlfriend slashed.' 'I'm going to see him.' 'I'm not sure.. maybe he needs to be alone right now.' 'I'm his best friend! I'm still here, so I'm going to see him if he wants to or not.' Goku watched Trunks turn around and walk towards the room Goten had dissapeared in, seconds after they had arrived at home. Behind him, he heard the news announce the murder. He slammed a fist on the table, furious he hadnt been able to save another human being. Slowly, everyone went back home, having found all the dragonballs. Goku looked at them, lying on the table. He hoped they would come back to life any time soon so they could stop whoever was doing this. He had to be stopped. Only Cell had been killing more people, but this one was more brutal and showed signs of a pleasure in taking the lifes of his victims. Three days later, the dragonballs were still just made of stone and nothing made Goku even think that that would change. Gohan slowly had returned from his room and pulled himself together, having seen and been in more fights where his friends or loved ones got hurt than was good for him. Still, Goku could see the pain in his sons eyes over the loss of his girlfriend to such a devil. But he did not know how to handle it, and when the fury only grew in his chest he needed to get it out of him, so he could think of one thing only. 'Vegeta.' 'What do you want Kakarot?' The prince said, harsh as ever. 'Are you busy right now?' Goku started, partially knowing he could always call Vegeta to fight him, but just as quickly he could refuse him because he had better things to do. 'I am always busy. What do you want?' 'I'd like to spar with you..' 'Spar.. Hn..' A long pause came, Vegeta had apparently been distracted by something. 'Spar you said?' He finally said. 'Dont tell me its because you want to get stronger to get to that idiot.' 'Idiot?' 'The guy who killed that girl baka..' Goku grinned, indeed part of him demanded that. 'How did you guess..' 'Hm..' Destracted again. 'Because just now the news said someone else was killed. Same style like she was killed, same area.. Figures.' Goku's heart froze again at the fact. Another murder, at the same place and done in the same way. 'Well, I could use some training myself so why not.' 'Good.. Great.' 'You want to fight or not? First calling me and saying you wanted to spar and you sound like I flushed your turtle.' 'Master Roshi has nothing to do with it!' 'A pet turtle you moron!! Now you want to fight or not? I have something better to do.' Vegeta growled through the telephone. 'Yeah, I want to fight. Should I come to your place?' 'Only if we use the gravity chamber.' 'Sure. What you want. See you later then.' Goku didnt hear a reply and the prince just hung up. He sighed. He was happy to let go of his agression to someone he could go all out with, but he was also torn by the fact someone else was killed. Without telling that to Goten, he simply said he was going to train with Vegeta at his house. Goten knew Trunks would be there too, so he joined him in his flight to the Capsule Corporation. When they arrived there, Goten immediately went up to Trunks' room for a reason he did not tell and Vegeta and Goku left for the gravity chamber. 'I wont go easy on you like last time.' Vegeta growled as he slowly raised the gravity to 300 G's. A large humming sound vibrated through the room and Goku found himself thrown off guard by the sudden change. When he had adjusted himself, he got into a fighting stance and looked up. 'Like I thought.' Vegeta muttered to himself, his hands in his side and his head tilted in annoyment, apparently he had said something and he hadnt heard it. 'What?' Goku blurted out, confused. 'I was just saying..' Vegeta stopped talking and walked over to him. Goku got out of his stance and raised his eyebrows when Vegeta stood right in front of him, beckoning him to lean down. He was a good foot smaller after all. Goku leaned down, wondering why. Vegeta had a good loud voice of himself, so why whisper in his ear? They were alone too, so what was this about? Still not enough. He bowed down even more. 'PAY ATTENTION DAMMIT OR I'LL BLOW THE LAST CELL OUT OF YOUR HEAD!!' Vegeta screamed in his ear, making Goku fall down twitching. 'Now.. where were we..' When the humming in Goku's ears subsided a bit, he could barely hear himself think Vegeta had a loud voice indeed. Groaning and muttering he got to his feet. Vegeta was already was floating in the air and waved a hand, signaling Goku to come at him. Goku simply flew up and right before he iniated a large blow, he dissapeared. Vegeta wasnt taken back by it and turned around as Goku's ki flared up invisibly behind him and he blocked the attack. He took advantage of Goku's surprise and punched him on the back of his head. Goku landed on the floor with a loud thud. ~Should have seen that coming..~ A thought flashed through his head, right before Vegeta slammed into him. Without thinking he quickly turned around and flung his legs around, taking Vegeta's legs out from underneath him. Before the prince could react, Goku had already blown an energy ball in his chest and he was sent flying to the wall. When he ran up to him to give him an array of punches, Vegeta had already anticipated it and blocked them with his hands. 'Whats wrong..' he growled between the punches, 'You can do better than this.' ~I can do better than this..~ Goku flared up to supersaiyan in an attempt to highten his senses and speed. Vegeta too powered up and vanished from Goku's sight. He had never seen the prince use that technique right in his face and before he could sense his ski, he felt a large blow in his back. ~Shimatta.. I'm slow.. Whats wrong?~ He thought, feeling the wall behind him crumble and crack as Vegeta assaulted him with punches in his stomach. Then Vegeta did something he never saw coming. Vegeta swung one arm back and at his fingertips appeared small spots of bright blue light. He then lashed out to Goku and he felt an acid burning sensation on his chest. He looked down and saw two deep lashes on his body, his blood slowly trickling down his skin. Goku lifted up a hand to the wound and heard Vegeta laugh at him, pleased with himself to have surprised even Goku with his new trick. Goku on the other hand, was taken over by a flashback of his son, his slashed girlfriend, the blood on the street. Vegeta's evil cackling.. Fury took over his mind. How the one that killed her so brutaly must have laughed like that. A new flow of immense power flowed through his veins. Vegeta slammed into the core of the gravity machine in the middle of the room. His spandex suit was ripped apart around his chest and small whisps of smoke whirled up around him. His eyes opened wide in amazement at Goku, but before he could realise it, Goku had grabbed his head and knocked it back with his knee, followed by a spine-crushing blow in his back and he fell to the floor. He coughed as all the air was knocked out of his body. He tried to get up but his muscles had trouble obeying after the brutal blow. With difficulty he got to his feet and his head lolled back to look at Goku, his vision red of blood streaming down his forehead into his eyes. Goku hovered above him, his arms crossed and looking down to the prince. On his face was an emotion Vegeta had never seen before in his eyes. The innocent face was now replaced by that of a killer. Goku ripped the last shreds of his shirt of his chest and cast them aside. The two deep red wounds spread across it had stopped bleeding, but only added to the power of someone who could kill without remorse. Vegeta blinked some blood away from his eyes, seeing a deadly saiyan before him, like he himself had been. The fury, the rage, it shone so brightly in good Goku's eyes that it made even him, the prince of all saiyans, feel fear. For a strange reason, Goku being like this with his power, a deadly saiyan. A saiyan like he would have been, for everyone to fear, a killer in the purest. It was even more frightening to see the man like a true saiyan, instead of his good human side. But mixed through his fear, Vegeta also tasted excitement. He had been waiting untill the saiyan withing Goku would be released but now that it apparently had and he was in control of it, the taste of a true battle took possesion of him. Smirking, Vegeta flew up and dodged a blow and spun around, kicking Goku full in his face. But the blow that followed by Goku in his stomach, literally took all his breath away. The ki in it was so strong, he neve anticipated such power. The shockwave launched him back a few feet. He looked up at Goku. He was smirking. He was staring at him, his blue eyes hazed with fury and excitement. Vegeta caught himself staring as well, right into the blue eyes he never imagined to see a few years ago, believing he was the only one to turn supersaiyan. Behind him, he could see the fighting spirit light up with every flare the aura of a supersaiyan made. Vegeta grinned, fascinated by the saiyan in Goku. He loved it, the rage released in the so pure a person Goku had been. Now everything matched up. The flow of his muscles, the lines in his face, the eyes, the strength, the bright yellow hair like fire. It was all balanced and so purely saiyan. Fascinating, Vegeta thought as he continued to stare at the large man in front of him. Beautiful was the second thought that came up. Even with his almost human face, as a supersaiyan that had lost control, Goku would have been a rare beauty. He was hardly bruised by the fight, and didnt have the angular face of a normal saiyan anymore. He had no scars on his face, his muscles were perfect, the skin only broken by the cuts he himself had lashed in him. Without realising it, Vegeta licked a small trail of blood from his lips and saw Goku do the same. But that very movement suddenly snapped him back to reality. He was fighting a very furious supersaiyan that had beaten him a couple of times before. And what was that thought about thinking a low-class idiot like him would be beautiful? Third-classed saiyans were plain ugly, even someone like nappa, a first-class, had been uglier than he could have ever wished. He wasnt beautiful, he was a brainless third-class bastard and he was fighting him. Vegeta stopped grinning as he saw Goku chuckle. Not only was he brainless.. He was furious.. He didnt know how right he was. Goku in his current state saw him as a prey, someone that needed payback. Little did Vegeta know that it had been his new technique that had taken over Goku, who had suddenly felt the helplessness of the girl and had mixed it with his power and roaring fury, he wanted to make the one who made the wounds pay. Goku smirked and folded his hands together at his side. In his mind he formed the words he had been saying so many times. Vegeta noticed the small blue ball forming in Goku's hands. 'Haa!!' Goku yelled, releasing the ball in an immense energy blast at Vegeta. Vegeta quickly flew to the side and launched a series of blasts himself at Goku. The sound of impact made him grin, he had hit him right on. When the smoke cleared away, he knew he couldnt defeat Goku that easily so with his arms stretched out he flew at Goku, his fists landing in his face. He could hardly blink as Goku quickly blocked his fists and slammed his own right in Vegeta's face. In a maddening pace, he continued to punch Vegeta in his stomach, but as the prince turned to defend himself, he also targeted the legs and knees, chest and shoulder region and finally the fragile neck. Vegeta gasped for air, feeling Goku's knuckles digging in his throat. Vegeta slowly touched the ground and braced himself for the next assault of blows. But he couldnt last long. The muscles in his legs and arms were bruised and strained underneath the powerfull punches and were close to collapsing. He himself panted heavily, feeling his power drain out of him with every strike. His feet couldnt find enough grip anymore when the floor began to crumble and shift underneath him. A large slab of tile came loose and the prince fell back as it slid away. Goku didnt stop at that however. Vegeta landed on his back as his legs too gave out as a punch landed on his lower abdomen. Through his arms, he looked up panting and gasping at Goku, the fury still burning in his bright blue eyes. When Goku lifted his right arm, Vegeta's eyes opened as he sensed where he was going for. Unable to muster enough power, he began to feel the terror of a cold-blooded saiyan warrior. He knew this blow would be deadly. 'No..' He whispered, terrified when Goku indeed seem to go for the final blow at the weakest point in his body. Utter fear send the adrenaline raging through his veins and ending up in his brain, the strange burning even adding to the emotion. 'No..' He whispered again. He couldnt be killed by Kakarot, he couldnt be killed like this, just during a training match. Finally his pride gave way as his body gave up. 'NO!!' Vegeta screamed at the top of his lungs, closing his eyes tight shut for what was to come. But when nothing came he slowly opened them and gasped. Goku's outstretched fingers were barely an inch away from the center of his throat. If he had hit him there, he would have blown out his whole throat and it would have been instant death for the prince. But he didnt do that. A cool drop of water hit his shoulder and Vegeta looked up from the trembling hand to its owner, hovering above him. The flaming hair was gone, the blue eyes turned to deep black again. Vegeta blinked and tried to lift himself up, groaning as his muscles hardly allowed it. 'Vegeta..'Goku softly spoke. Vegeta noticed then the tears slowly flowing down Goku's cheeks. He was crying, without a sound. He too was panting, obviously also affected by the fight. But the fury was gone and replaced by sheer pain and it shone brightly in his eyes. 'I'm.. I'm sorry..' Goku quickly spoke as if ashamed of his actions. He let his hand fall down, laying it on top of Vegeta's chest. Vegeta slightly shivered at the sudden touch, the hand being cold as ice. Goku felt the shiver and quickly pulled his hand back. Vegeta pushed himself up till he was sitting opposite of Goku, still unable to say something, taken aback by the rage he had felt raging through Goku, now an almost powerless human, humiliated and pained. He had truly lost control. 'I'm so sorry..' Goku whispered again. 'I could have..' He swallowed the next few words. 'Killed me..' Vegeta said, the astonishment sounding in his voice. Then he got a grip on himself again and anger took over from amazement. 'You had enough chances before, so why didnt you?' 'I.. I couldnt. When I heard you scream stop.. My mind stopped working and I realised what I was doing. What could I have done? I could have killed you.. I could have killed you..' Vegeta snorted. What had that been about anyway? Why had he suddenly lost it? 'Hn.. What happened to you anyway?' 'I'm not sure. When you lashed into me.. I saw that young girl's body in my mind and I got so furious about it. The way she was killed, the way you cut the same into me, the way you laughed afterwards. I imagined you were the one who killed her and all the others and I guess..' He sighed and swallowed. 'I guess I just lost control.' Vegeta blinked. So that was what had been bothering him in the beginning. That was what made him go so out of control. Caused by his own damn new technique to boot.. 'Dad! Goku!' Both men looked up at the sound of Trunks' voice through the door. 'Gravity to one.' Vegeta said and the room hummed and he immediately felt a lot lighter, his muscles accepting difficult movements like standing up again. He got up and so did Goku, whiping a few tears away with the back of his bare hand, glancing at it, still painfully reminded of his own power. 'What is it Trunks?' Vegeta growled, a signal for Trunks to come storming in with a large stack of notes. 'You never guess.. what the.. You two look like you have been fighting to the death..' He gasped, seeing the two deep lashes on Goku's belly and Vegeta's torn clothes, revealing a skin littered with cuts and bruises. 'Just a spar.' Vegeta said, feeling the eyes of Goku burn in his back. It was better not to talk about it. Not yet. 'Now what do you want?' 'You better come with me. You are not going to believe this.' He said quickly and beckoned the two to follow him. He walked up the stairs to his bedroom, obviously excited about something. 'I was talking to Goten about his girlfriend and how she died and all.. Then the news came up..' He opened the door to his bedroom where Goten was sitting in the bed, legs pulled up in a corner. He too frowned at the state Vegeta and his father were in. 'And there they announced more deaths. Two more to be exact. And compared to the two of yesterday and..' 'Yesterday?' Goku gasped. 'Yeah, didnt you see the news?' 'I havent been watching since..' He looked at his son, who looked away. 'I see.. Yesterday they said a salary man and a dancer were killed in Shinjuku.' 'Just a few yards away from where I was with Eri..' Goten softly said. 'Both of them.' 'Both?' Goku asked. Vegeta frowned, apparently the murderer had been sticking around the same area in search for his victims. 'Yes,' said Trunks. 'And both cut. But this time, he had been..' he looked up to Goten. 'playing with his victims blood. The police found strange writings on the ground. The ones killed today had that too. Same area, same time, same style in killing. But with these men, a male whore apparently and his customer, he carved the same signs into their chests and legs, removed the heart..' he paused, again looking at Goten if he could continue. 'and wrote words like 'baka' and 'oiran' on their foreheads. Took their eyes out..' 'Yeah yeah, we get it!' Goku yelled, Trunks' study becoming way too detailed. 'So what is with it brat?' Vegeta snapped at his son. 'Here comes the freaky stuff. You ready for this?' Trunks sifted through his notes and looked at the two saiyans, inhaling deeply. 'Goku, can you remember the names of the first victims?' 'Um.. well.. I know Eri..' 'She was the sixth.' 'First one was Gianni Fujiaki, second was Oriya Ikito. Third one was Kira something.' 'Thanks Vegeta.' 'Hn.' 'I've listed them all, all ten of them. Now listen carefully. Dad was right about the first two. Third one was, Kira Genmori. Fourth, Umi Hoisumi. Fifth, Vince Tyson.' 'The tourist.' 'Yeah. Sixth, Eri Matsumi. Seventh, Gen Ikito. Eighth, Eito Nakatori. Ninth, Tatsuya Otome. Tenth, Asakimo Waranai.' Everyone fell silent, unsure what to do with the list of names. 'So?' Vegeta finally broke the silence. 'Dont you get it?' Trunks said, pushing the paper with all the names listed in his fathers hand. 'Look at it!' Vegeta looked at it and Goku looked over his shoulder at the paper, still not getting what Trunks was trying to say. 'Look closely at it..' Both saiyans studied the list. "Gianni Fujiaki Oriya Ikito Kira Genmori Umi Hoisumi Vince Tyson Eri Matsumi Gen Ekito Eito Nakatori Tatsuya Otome Asakimo Waranai" 'Oh shit..' Vegeta finally managed to blurt out. 'You see it? Thats what I thought, holy shit..' 'I dont get it Vegeta..' Goku whined behind him. Vegeta turned around and helt the paper up to his nose. 'Look at their initials idiot!!' 'Initials.. GF, OI, KG, UH, VT, EM, GE, EN, TO, AW... I dont get it..' 'Not like that moron!' Vegeta slid his finger from the top to the bottom, telling him to read them like that. 'G.. O.. K.. U.. V.. E.. G.. E..' Goku's eyes widened as he realised what it said. 'Oh shit..' Vegeta nodded slowly. 'Goku Vegeta fight me now. Thats what it says.' Suddenly they all looked up as they heard a shallow scream and a thud outside. Trunks quickly ran to the window and after looking outside he leapt out of it. Before they could even react, they heard Trunks' scream coming from outside. 'Dad! Get help quick!!' It sounded so panicked that Goku didnt even await an answer of Vegeta but immediately jumped down the window as well. Goten ran down and opened the front door. There he found his father and Trunks crouching next to something. Slowly Trunks raised to his feet with a sigh. As he stepped aside, Goten saw a young man lying there. His chest was riddled with cuts and his face was gone. Goten felt his stomach turn and he threw up. The eyeballs were gone, the skin stripped off his face and his clothes torn and dyed red with blood. Across the chest and abdomen were words carved deep into the mans flesh. Vegeta slowly walked up to the small group and looked down at the man. He sighed. 'I know him. He's that dork from supplies. He works here.' Goku looked up at the prince, too dumbfounded to speak after what happened the past 5 minutes. 'I dont know what his name is though.' He leaned down and read what was cut into the man. 'Surprise.' 'This has to stop..' Goku hissed. 'This.. creature.. doesnt deserve to go on living as if nothing happened. We have to take him out.' Goten noticed his father was trembling with fury. His ki was flaring up, going up to the edge of super saiyan. Goten turned away from the body, feeling his stomach protest again. No more. He wanted this man to die a horrible slow death. Killing his girlfriend, killing innocent people and sending such a cruel message to his father and Vegeta, it all was too much for him. As he threw up again, he leaned against the wall, panting heavily and feeling the blood drain from his face and arms. Cold sweat appeared on his wrists and his legs gave out as he passed out cold. Shocked, Goku looked over to his son, dropping out of his state of madness. He jumped over to him and picked him up with a sigh. Trunks was immediately next to him, taking him over and carrying him away to his room, leaving the two older saiyans behind without saying a word. 'Vegeta..' Goku said, watching the two young men walk away, Trunks' hair slowly swaying, contrasting against the pitch black spikes of his son. Vegeta looked up at Goku. 'We have to stop him.' 'I guess so.' The prince simply said. 'I wish I could crush his bones right now, cut his chest like he did to this man.. We have to stop him now. Right now.' 'Not right now.' Goku snapped his head to the side to look at Vegeta for an explanation. But he only shook his head slowly, 'Not now..' 'Why not? We have to stop him!' 'I know. But doesnt it bother you that we never felt a ki that could do it? Someone this evil should have a ki we could sense in no time and blast him into oblivion without any effort.' Goku sighed. Vegeta was right. Now that he thought about it, he indeed could have sensed it. He quickly started to search for it, but he couldnt find anything significant. 'But how..' 'I think he uses his ki in very quick bursts. So quick we cant sense it. Anyone who can do that is a force to be reckoned with. And after that bloody beating of yours and my cuts, I dont think we have enough power to even fly over to him. Let alone kill him.' 'Maybe you are right..'Goku sighed. He hoped Vegeta wasnt, but it was very strange they hadnt sensed him. The murderer had to be very clever and very strong to overtake his victims so easily. And fast too, to be able to cut into this man without them noticing in just seconds. Right after the man had screamed he must have hit him and he must have been able to leave without them noticing him before Trunks jumped out of the window. 'I'm always right baka! Now lets get healed. We'll find him and blow his brains out tomorrow.' |
