              Member’s only Fishing Derby
The annual pre-season Member's Fishing Derby was held on Saturday April 3rd. Ray Senaldi & company provided breakfast with sausage & eggs. A good time was had by all who attended with the largest fish pool going to Ron  Lucco. Thanks Ray and congratulations Ron.
          Youth Fishing Derby In honor of Ray Salsbury
The Kid's Fishing Derby (May 16th) will be accepting donations (monetary or otherwise) at the next couple of meetings.  Any monies received will be used to offset the cost of purchasing some token larger fish (app $300.00 needed), prizes, food and beverages for the kids.
                         Junior Hunter Turkey
Reminder: Junior Hunter only turkey season opens on Saturday May 1st.                    
                       Spring Event – Pig Roast
Our annual spring event will be held on Sunday June 6th at the club grounds in Colchester. Chris Toce is the chairman of this event. Tickets will be $25.00 and the menu will include Roast Pig & Roast Sirloin as well as a variety of fixin’s. Worker sign-up sheets will be available at the monthly membership meetings or by calling Chris at (860) 667-7773. More info will follow at the membership meetings and in future newsletters.
                 Property Management Committee
A meeting will be held at the May 8th cleanup (1:00 at the Colchester property) of all members who have or would like to sign up to participate on any function of this committee.  The meeting agenda will include this years projects selection, planning and funding.  If you have any inquiries please contact Chairman John Rzeplinski either by e-mail (jrzeplinski@comcast.net), telephone (860 828-9739) or via the NBHFC e-mail address (nbhf@sbcglobal.net).

                               Cleanup Party
A general cleanup and Property Management work party is scheduled for Saturday May 8th at the club grounds in Colchester.  Food & beverages will be supplied for those participating.  Please bring lawn mowers, weed wackers, leaf blowers and rakes.  Kitchen cleanup will also be performed in preparation for the Youth Fishing Derby and Spring Pig Roast.

                                   
Points $ Increase
A vote was taken and passed at the March 3rd Membership Meeting to           increase the cost of unaccrued points from $10.00 each to $15.00 each.

                               
Spring Turkey Season
Spring Turkey hunting season opens on Wednesday May 5th and closes on     Saturday May 29th
Annual Ham Raffle Results
Chairman Bill Wasielek notes the drawing for the 25 hams was held immediately following the March 17th officer’s meeting.  Winner’s and ticket numbers were listed in the March newsletter.  Bill also reports a profit of $1124.00 was made from this event and that the following members have not returned their allotted tickets.  All tickets (sold or unsold) must be returned by the next officers meeting (May 19th) or a $30.00 assessment will be added to your 2005 dues.  Ticket returns will no longer be accepted after May 19th 2004.
