| Cleanup Party The Wildlife Management committee will hold a brush clearing work party at the club grounds in Colchester on Saturday June 12th beginning around 8:00 a.m. The main cleanup will be in the Oaks section between the back field and the swamp. Food & beverages will be supplied for those participating. Please bring brush cutters, weed wackers, chainsaws and leaf blowers. Pick up trucks may also be needed. | Spring Event – Pig Roast Our annual spring event will be held on Sunday June 6th at the club grounds in Colchester. Chris Toce is the chairman of this event. Tickets have been mailed. Member tickets and youth tickets will be available at the front gate the day of the function. The cost is $25.00 and the menu will include Roast Pig & Roast Sirloin as well as a variety of fixin’s. | New Colchester Camping Regulations As the summer camping season arrives just a reminder of the newly passed regulations, which will also be posted at the Colchester club grounds along with reservation sign up sheets. All organization rules and regulations will also be available at the online web site http://oocities.com/nbhf@sbcglobal.net/ (or by contacting any officer) Camping Regulations 1. Campers that are being actively being used by a member may be left on the club property between April 1, and the end of the deer season. All other campers or other vehicles must be removed immediately. 2. No storage of campers/vehicles will be allowed on the club property from the end of deer season through March 31, except as provided in the "Grandfather Provision" 3. Campsites will be determined and numbered by the Property Management Committee. With the approval of the Executive Committee. 4. Camping is not permitted on the rifle range or skeet range area. 5. The Executive Committee shall designate four (4) prime sites. Reservations for a prime site may be made for no more than (2) weeks. Reservation requests will be made in the sign-in sheet located in the pavilion, and are on a first come, first serve basis. A two-week notice is required. Campers-tents must be removed from the campsite when camping is completed. 6. Weekend campers will not need a reservation for a prime site if it is open. 7. When campers are not being used, they must be moved from the camping area, and placed in an area designated by the Executive Committee. 8. The member must maintain the member's camper and the space around the camper in proper fashion. 9. No campsites may be occupied during a major event, unless approved by the Executive Committee. 10.Any suspected violations of these regulations should be reported to the Executive Committee. "Grandfather Provision" Members whose names appear on the addendum, and are actively using their currently owned camper, will be granted the right to leave their camper on the property until December 2006. |
| Kids Fishing Derby May 6, 2004 Honoring Ray Salsbury The kids fishing derby this year was yet another success due to the effort of many members who contributed by donations of money, gifts, and time. My son and I thank all who helped. Special thanks go to Joe Wrobel’s wife Sheryl and my wife Babs, for which with out their help this derby could never have run so smoothly nor have been so enjoyed by all who attended. For all who did not receive their certificate at the derby or pick up their trophy, please see me at the June meeting where they will be available for you. | 24 children in the 1 to 5 years old category. They caught 24 trout collectively. 33 children in the 6 to 10 years old category. They caught 38 trout collectively. 9 children in the 11 to 15 year old category. They caught 13 trout collectively. 66 children total participated. A total of 75 trout caught. Trophy winners:Biggest fish trophy for a 19.5” trout goes to Paul Massores. Most total inches for 3 fish caught were 45.5” and the winner, Charlie Leary |
