    Help Wanted (Needed)
The Wildlife Management committee will hold one last work party on Saturday August 28th  to complete the cleanup of the hardwoods, back field and shotgun shooting areas of the Colchester grounds.  Further information can be obtained by contacting Rich Christensen @ 563-2344 or 529-6492 or Phillip Gorneault @ 828-7743.  Any land clearing equipment would be helpful and greatly appreciated.  Food & beverages will be supplied to workers of this event.  Come early, and don’t forget those tracktors, brushhaugs and bobcats.
                                Clam Bake
Our annual Clam Bake has been scheduled for Sunday September 26th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Donations are $30.00 per person and youth tickets will be available at the gate.  Help is needed to setup, run and cleanup after the event.  Tickets are in the mail and if you will be needing more than your usual allotment please contact event treasurer Bob Gagliardi @ (203) 239-6421 to obtain additional tickets.  For further information or to volunteer your services please contact event chairman Vito Lattarulo @ (860) 666-8725 or by attending the September membership
meeting.           
         Summer Membership Meeting Reminder
September 1st Membership Meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Club Grounds in Colchester.  Food and beverages will be available beginning at 5:00 for a small ($5.00) fee.  This will be the final Colchester meeting of the year.

                                              Union – Meyer’s Pond
The electricity has been turned on (on a trial basis) until November 1st.  A lock has been applied to the circuit breaker box to prevent unauthorized usage and the combination is the same as the gate there.  There was no activation fee for this service and there will be no deactivation fees as well.
                                                   Deer and Turkey Permits
Deer and Turkey permits will be available for all club properties to all members in good standing at this September meeting only.

                                           Paul’s Pond - Colchester
A proposal has been presented by  the Property Management Committee to improve the conditions of Paul’s Pond for greater fish survival and also recreational use.  The committee is looking at chemical weed and algae control as well as aeration options (wind / power / solar).  Copies of the proposal were handed out at the August 4th meeting and several others were left in the sign-in box and beer distribution areas of the Colchester pavillion.  For further information please contact John Rzeplinski via e-mail at jrzeplinski@comcast.net .  Further information will be available at the September 1st meeting.
