          Clam Bake
The annual Clam Bake is scheduled for Sunday September 25th. Tickets have been mailed.
New ticket price will be $35.00 for Adults (over 15 years old). As in the past Youth tickets (15 years & under) will be available at the gate only and will be charged as follows:
Ages 5-15 years old $17.50
Under age 5 years FREE
Further information will be forthcoming at the membership meetings and in future newsletters.
                     Summer Meeting Reminder
The August and September meetings are at the club grounds in Colchester. These meetings start at 7 p.m. and food and beverages will be available before the meeting for a small fee.
                     Union Property
The membership voted at the July 6th membership meeting to retain the Webster Hill property lease at an increase of $1500.00 from $3500.00 to $5000.00 per year for an additional 5 years. Further negotiations for additional extensions are continuing.

Please signup for specific sub-committees or just general help as available. The undertaking and success of any project will be subject to the support and participation of the general membership. Volunteers are still needed to fulfill their new point system requirements. Signup sheets will be posted with the Membership Meeting sign-in sheets or you may contact any of the above co-chairman to volunteer your services. Help is needed in all phases of the cost analysis, planning and implementation of projects to improve the usability, appearance and security of the assets of the club. Some members may be needed on a call as needed basis only (for emergency repairs to electrical, plumbing or structural damages) while others may prefer to work on specific areas or projects. Either way it is a good way to earn points and socialize with fellow members while contributing to the future of the organization.
                           Game Dinner
The Game Dinner report is in and Chairman Bob Czerwinski reported a profit of $8,631.33. Bob is already building speed for next years event so start saving your fish and game. Thanx Bob for another job well done.
Tree Planting
In addition there is going to be a group of Boy Scouts coming in to assist in the replanting of the pine trees.
Members and their children are also invited (encouraged) to participate. This project has been scheduled for Saturday August 27th but due to the dry/hot weather conditions may have to be postponed until mid-September. All participants will be treated to hot dogs, hamburgers, soda and chips. Further information may be obtained at the August 3rd membership meeting or by contacting either Bill Gervais @ (860) 951-0223 or Jim Ciancimino @ (860) 666-5903.
If the tree planting project is postponed then Saturday August 27th will be a regular work party date to complete some of the unfinished business from earlier July & August dates.

Some members who have been signing the work sheets during the week or during non-scheduled work party weekends have not been included in this list. Those names as well as July 30th and August work party participants will be listed in future newsletters.
                                      Work Parties Scheduled
Work parties are scheduled for the Saturdays listed below but may continue into the following Sunday’s as well. Food and beverages will be supplied for all participants. Please bring any equipment you may have to help facilitate these projects. Anyone who is unavailable for these scheduled dates but would like to participate during the week may contact the Property Management Committee chairman.
Bocci Court Construction – July 30th & August 20th – preparation and framing
Kitchen Carpenter Work – July 30th & August 20th – complete drop ceiling & counter tops
Land Clearing – July 30th – mark out areas to be cleared for pine tree replanting, new rifle range path and

around the pond – begin brush clearing in these areas
Shooting and Trap Range Improvements – August 20th – Rifle Range improvements

A new By-Laws review committee has been appointed by President John Wrobel Sr. Anyone interested in participating may contact Chairman Harold Gannon at any Membership or Officers meeting or by calling him @ (860) 675-6449. Anyone that has a particular by-law that they would like to see revised should submit their suggestions, in writing, to the NBHFC e-mail box or to any officer of the organization.

All articles should have a heading followed by the text of the article that you would like published.
