Letter from the President
Hello fellow members.
One of the primary roles of the Executive Board is to assure that New Britain Hunting & Fishing Club complies with all Federal, State, and Town regulations as well as insure that the club maintains a sound financial base. In pursuit of this charge, the Executive Board is considering a recommendation of increasing the dollar amount charged to members for their yearly dues. Because the Executive Board understands the gravity of such a recommendation this topic will be open for debate at the June 1st meeting. In order to insure that everyone who wishes to express their opinion has that opportunity, as well as keeping the debate to a reasonable time frame, formal rules for the debate process shall be established and followed. The format to be followed is printed in this newsletter. Thank you in advance for any and all input into this matter. Your President
John Wrobel

                                       Modifications to Point System
The following modifications to the 2005 points system were voted and approved at the April 6th Membership Meeting effective immediately.
Four (4) of the current fifteen (15) points will be designated as mandatory work points and that these 4 points (1 per hour) be earned thru projects and work parties designated and approved by the Property Management committee.
Members may be excused from these requirements by recommendation of the Executive Committee. These specific work points shall not be accrued by participation in major functions.

       Property Management –
      Work Parties Completed

General Grounds Cleanup and Block House Roof Repair work parties were held during May and the Aeration Windmill Tower project was completed. Several (14) members (and 1 wife) and 1 member applicant participated in these projects and have completed their 4 work point obligations under the new Point System as well as earning some additional points. Thanx to those who have participated. Much work and assistance is still needed and further work parties will be scheduled at the convenience of those who volunteer to participate.
                                  Property Management Committee
Chairman – John Rzeplinski – (860) 828-9739 jrzeplinski@comcast.net
Co-Chairman Building Maintenance – Mark Burleigh – (203) 238-1819
Co-Chairman Grounds Maintenance – Ken Jones – (860) 342-2927

Co-Chairman Wildlifee Management – Joe Piera – (860) 229-5762
Co-Chairman Special Project Planning & Implementation – unassigned
The committee has a bunch of project proposals already in the works for 2005 and is seeking assistance in coordinating these undertakings. Please signup for specific sub-committees or just general help as available. The undertaking and success of any project will be subject to the support and participation of the general membership.
Volunteers are still needed to fulfill their new point system requirements. Signup sheets will be posted with the Membership Meeting sign-in sheets or you may contact any of the above co-chairman to volunteer your services.
Help is needed in all phases of the cost analysis, planning and implementation of projects to improve the usability, appearance and security of the assets of the club. Some members may be needed on a call as needed basis only (for emergency repairs to electrical, plumbing or structural damages) while others may prefer to work on specific areas or projects. Either way it is a good way to earn points and socialize with fellow members while contributing to the future of the organization.
