ARTICLE III
Membership Section 1. The general membership of the Organization shall consist of active, participating members. An active participating member must take part in at least one (1) major club function per year and attend a minimum of four (4) meetings of the Organization during the year. Failure to participate will automatically subject said member to disqualification and their name will be brought up before the Executive Committee for review. Section 2. In order that the Organization can progress and accomplish goals, members are also required to meet their point obligations as defined by the Executive Committee and accepted by a vote of the membership. If a new point distribution system is not proposed and accepted by the March membership meeting, the current system will remain in effect for that year. A monetary penalty will be assessed against any member who fails to fulfill their point obligation. Section 3.Associate Members, Honorary Members, Life Members and Junior Members are excused from the requirements of Article III. Regular members may request to be excused from meeting their obligation under Section 1 if a hardship exists. The request is to be made in writing to the executive committee. The committee may request further documentation before accepting or rejecting the request. The executive committee will present the request and their decision to the body for approval. ARTICLE VII Admission of Members Section 1. Any Person 18 years or over desiring to become a member in the Organization must fill out and sign an application for admission and must be sponsored and seconded by members in good standing. Upon receipt, all applications will be dated and signed by a member of the membership committee, and when there is a vacancy the applicant whose application has the earliest date will be called and appear before the membership committee for screening. If the applicant is qualified, the application will be signed by a minimum of three members of the committee and the applicant will be required to pay his initiation fee. The application, accompanied by the initiation fee, will then be presented to the membership at the next membership meeting and the applicant's name will be read into the minutes of the meeting. A former member seeking admission back into the Organization may opt to pay back dues from the date of resignation to the date of screening by the membership committee instead of the initiation fee. Section 10. Honorary Membership is conferred by a vote of the Club. It is given to members who have made outstanding contributions to the Club but who are removed from active participation because of physical disability, geographical distance or other considerations. Honorary Members are entitled to all rights and privileges of the Club. They are not required to pay dues nor shall they be permitted to vote. If the reason why a member was voted to become an honorary changes, he/she will automatically become a regular member again with the approval of the membership Section 11. Associate Membership may be requested by a member after 15 years of active membership or having a long term disability. Associate Members will continue to pay regular membership dues and be allowed the use of the club grounds. Associate Members will be excused from meetings and work requirements of the Organization. Associate Members lose their right to vote, hold office and are not allowed to hunt or fish unless as a guest of an active member. An Associate Member may return to active membership at the first available opening after January 1st of the year following the request to do so. Associate membership may be obtained by a member only once. ARTICLE X Duties of the President Section 15.
