5th grade students participate in D.A.R.E during the first semester of school.  Students learn about the importance of making the choice to be drug and violence free.  Most importantly, students learn and practice various ways of saying "No" to drugs!
Officer Stegall invited high school students  to serve as role models on a peer panel to field questions about life as a teenager.
To graduate from the DARE program, students had to write an essay explaining the importance of what they learned throughout the semester. Graduates received a certificate, a t-shirt, and a frisbee.  Congratulations to Kyle, Haley, Cody, and Heather for being chosen as the 2002 DARE Essay Winners!  These students received trophies and a ribbon.
