lauren, My Holly messaged you before, she's a collie just like Lassie, and would come and rescue you (or Timmy :-) if she only could. We send you our prayers and our hope for you getting all better. We continue to add our prayers to all of those from all the fo ks who care about you, and they will join the whisps of prayer that travel the miles to surround you every day. I do not know you but your situation was brought to my attention by a dear friend. My own family, as my others, have been touched by cancer and it does not always end badly. It might look rough now but you need to keep up your strength & faith. Lauren wi l look to you for hers. My thoughts and prayers are w/you & little Lauren. Big Bill: My wife and I became parents recently, and having our little boy in intensive care for the first nine days of his life was terrible...but I still can't imagine what you and your family are going through. Little Lauren will be in our prayers. I will call my brother, who is a Catholic priest, and have him pray for Lauren and your entire family. Hang in there, big guy, and take solace in the fact that there are a lot of people who care about, and are praying for, you and your little girl. If the e is anything I can do, just say the word.

I heard about your little girl's illness a couple of days ago and it was very hard fighting the tears. As a mother myself I could only imagine what you are going through. Illness is never easy to deal with, but when it happens to a child, the inevitable question is Why? For our job is not to ask why, but to pray for the strengt to go on and overcome. God does not burden the weak, only the chosen and the strong. Lauren, you must be on strong little girl for God to have chosen you. Lauren, me again, you're SOOOO special I figured I would write a third time to tell you I'm thinking of you while sitting here in a hotel in NYC. I was in Newark, NJ tonight and sent you happy thoughts and hugs from the airport. Did they make it all the way up to where you live? And while sitting in the airport in Indianapolis, I wrote your song. It's called Lauren's Song (God's Gift of Love). I hope you will like it. Can't wait to get back home and play it and send it to you. You sure have a lot of friends and family on here that care for you. Great idea Jeanine...I'll be with you in prayer each day at noon. Without resorting to cliches, God doesn't send us more than we can handle; we may not like or agree with it, but we will have the grace to deal with it if we remember that we're not the one's calling the shots. He IS looking out for us and He knows what Lauren needs before we know to ask for it. I'd still like to fast-foward and take a peek at her first day of school, her taste in prom dresses, and Timmy's reaction to her first boyfriend...(not to mention Bill's!!!) We are so glad to hear that her test results are negative and that things are looking more hopeful. The power of prayer is miraculous. Our family was the recipiant of the kind of prayers that Lauren is getting. The doctor told us for three days in a row that Paul was not going to survive. His 13th birthday is next month.
