Candle Serenade was formed in 1993 by Stregoyck (a Black Metal girl, which was and still is unusual in a band) (guitars), Belfegor (guitars), Odranoel (vocals) and Vrolok (drums). Later they were joined by Nihasa (bass) and Demogorgon (keyboards), and with this line-up they released their promising promo-track ‘Tales from Walpurgis’ in 1994. This granted them a record deal with Guardians of Metal Records, and in 1995 they released their CD ‘Nosferatu’s Passion’, already without Odranoel and with Stregoyck assuming vocal duties. They broke up not long after this. They were from the Porto area, and they were also the first Black Metal band from the north of Portugal.
