Celtic Dance was formed in 1994. They recorded a rehearsal track for a compilation tape released by Black Legions Prod. And in 1995 they released the demo ‘Goddess of a Thousand Knights’. They played some gigs in 1996 and re-recorded their first rehearsal track for inclusion in the ‘Southern Assault Vol.1’. The signed for Shivadarshana Records and in 1997 they recorded the album ‘Ancient Battlecry’. However, problems between the band and the label arose and the deal was broken. The vocalist ended up releasing the album himself, through his label Sword Productions. After great line-up changes, the band entered a period of inactivity.
