Bruce Lindstrom
A few weeks ago Nicky London invited me to attend a make up presentation by make-up artist Bruce Lindstrom. The guests spent a lovely time at the beautiful MAC PRO store on 5TH Avenue in New York City.
Bruce, who is originally from Ventura in California showed us some of his talented skills when creating a "chic freak" make up. His words were "today we are doing something extreme but still glamorous." His guests were the two rock singers Johnny and Nathan from DUKE, a very well known duo in the New York scene.
Being always attracted to the mystery and fascination of the real glamour, Bruce who helped to create the looks for the Broadway show Bombay Dreams is at least exceptional. In a room full of make-up professionals and fashionistas, he not only charmed but impressed the crowd with his attention to details and the security that only people that masters their craft have.
Using lace and glitter among other things, Bruce Lindstrom transformed the faces of Johnny and Nathan. He can paint indeed, as we say!
The act of transformation is a subject that will always be present in his life, pointing that if he wasn't a make up artist, biology would have been his second choice as a career.
His goals are to start dedicating time to make-up in photography, and also work more with celebrities.
Bruce Lindstrom has a great admiration for the work of his fellow peers such as Topolino, Marla Belt, Pat Mc Grath and Kabuki, who he has worked with for the pages of Vogue Magazine
   He loves Greta Garbo !
