that caused outrage from day one by showing naked men dancing with balloons
in the first episode. The UK had seen nothing like it before, and it
received many complaints. It was slated by critics at the time, and has gone
down as one of the worst programmes ever made for British TV.
It was broadcast live from Central TV studios in Birmingham each week, at
around 11pm, with a duration of 1 hour.
The episode with Martin Degville and
friends was Show 6, broadcast on 6th February 1982. Martin can be seen quite
prominently in the otherwise dull audience several times, sitting with
friends Patty Bell and Patrick Lizzy Black. Towards the end of the episode
his friend Patty is made to stand up to receive a prize for 'the silliest
costume'. "I'm going to cry!", she says to Martin.
