STEPHEN LINARD EARLY FASHION SHOWS

Linard,  always prominent among the Blitz crowd,  this winter sported his  ´endangered species´  outfit of wild zebra skins.  Surprisingly, his ultra-chic collection at the show featured classic overcoats,  high-waisted trousers in Savile Row suiting and chiffon shirts.  ´ It will be a winter of elegance.  People are fed up with looking ridiculous, ´  he said nonchalantly.   `I called my collection Reluctant Emigres after the East Europeans who had to  leave their countries at the turn of the century - like many young people feel in Britain today.´
