What Ruka Liked:
+ Original music. Everyone's pretty happy about this. Though, truth be told, this was just cutting corners. ^^;
+ Rini's and Hotaru's voices. They were actually CUTE, not annoying!
+ Dr. Tomo's voice. Perfection! The guy who did him is a genious, being able to sound believably gentle and psychotic.
+ A few of the puns. The Daimon puns got a little annoying after a while, but they were really cute.
+ Tuxedo Mask's speeches. I think they were translated from the original. I especially like him telling off the Rose Daimon for being a copycat. :P
What Ruka Didn't Mind:
= Michelle's voice. Not good, but not bad, either. I just wish her voice actress had tried a *little* bit harder to not sound SO much like Serena's mom. (Writing a fic in which Michiru is discovered to be Serena's biological mother comes to mind..:P)
= Kaolinite's voice. I admit, Kirsten Bishop didn't annoy me. But she was WAY better as Emerald. Ms. Bishop went a little happy with the lines, changing "Tsukino Usagi..no..Sailor Moon!" to "Serena Moon-Face-Girl or should I say Sailor Moon?" It was so garbled to add all that to just 9 syllables..O.O;;
= Venus's new voice. Stephanie Morganstern was much better, but her new actress is too different. It's gonna take a while to get used to her.
= The small inconsistencies with Uranus and Neptune's attacks. Sometimes it was "Uranus World Shaking," sometimes not. At least they kept them..^^;
What Ruka Disliked:
- Inconsistencies, inconsistencies, incoonsistencies! If CWI is going to change Jupiter's attack back to "Sparkling Wide Pressure," change ALL of them back and keep them that way! There's no such thing as "Jupiter Thunder Power" and there never should have been! How hard is it to translate "Uranus/Neptune/Pluto Planet Power!" to "Uranus/Neptune/Pluto Planet Power!" and NOT "Star Power?" Did you notice that on the tops of their wands are PLANETS, not STARS? And what's with the multiple names for "Venus Love-Me Chain?" "Venus Love-Chain Encircle," "Venus Love-Chain!" "Venus Love Harness!" "Venus Love Chain Whip!" Are we doing a synonym contest, here? ¬.¬;;
- "PLUTO DEADLY SCREAMMMMMMMMMMMMMA!" "CCheck it out!" Enough said.
- "When Saturn eclipses the other planetts, Earth is doomed." Well...first of all...Saturn CAN'T eclipse the other planets. This was a really stupid plot element they didn't need.
- What happened to episode 119? Isn't iit kinda the *most* important episode in the series? Okay, the daimon's skantily clad, but she had STARS on her breasts, f'heaven's sake! She wasn't THAT naked! Why, oh why, Toonami, did you rush Cloverway? They could have finished the episodes and did a good job without your freakin' influence!
- Weird cuts. They leave the Inners hittting the wall but cut out Venus'. They cut shots of buildings. They cut shots of Hotaru sighing. Is there something evil about buildings? ^_^;
- Stupid pop-culture references and slanng. "What's up dog?" from Unazuki? (who has a mystery brother named Paul. Gee, I thought it was Andrew.) "I'm buggin'" and "What's up girlfriends?" from Rini? "I've been buggin' to meet ya" from my beloved Viluy..er...Biruit? "That's totally uncool" from Amy? Luna saying "Is that your final answer?" What is this world coming to? @_@;
- Jumbled-up lines. Sometimes the actorrs spoke so fast I couldn't understand them.
- Ruining scenes with silence by talkingg. What was with all that "Sailor Box" shit? (If you'll excuse my language.)
- Amara's voice. Is it too much to ask for something other than monotone?
- Amara and Michelle being cousins. Thee inevitable. We live in an unfortunately homophobic society in which I have to remind my friends not to call everything they don't like "gay." But those two were ruined. They added "cousin" whenever they goddamn could. They don't have to shove it in our faces! *bursts into tears*
*pant..pant...pant* I think that's all for now. I haven't even gotten started on what they did to my poor Witches 5..
