Shelby joined New Image in 2001 for the 2001 Las Vegas Fall Classsic. He also competed in the 2001 ISC Iowa Area State Tournament. Shelby has played fastpitch since 1990 in the Southwest Wisconsin area.
....In 2002, Shelby joined New Image full time. He was part of the team that finished 2nd in the Las Vegas Fall Classic. He also competed in the ISC Iowa Area State Tournament for a second straight year. He was the catcher for the New Image team that competed in 2002 Quad City Memorial Day Tournament against some of the top teams in the World. Shelby also played on the New Image team that won Gold at the Badger State Games.
...In 2003, Shelby was named ASA All-State at catcher when New Image won first place. Shelby was on the NAFA "AA" team that took eighth place at the NAFA World Series in Chippewa Falls, WI. Shelby also played in the ASA "C" National Tournament in College Station, Texas. Shelby won Gold at the Badger State Games.
...In 2004 Shelby helped New Imgae finish first place in the Wednesday Night League at Bowling Green in Middleton, WI. Shelby was also a member of the New Image team when they finished fifth at the NAFA "AA" World Series in Hutchinson, Kansas. Shelby also traveled to Las Vegas when New Image finished second at the fall tournament.
