Communist Insults Against the Sacred Culture and Traditions of Viet-Nam
.
The situation in Viet-Nam today should provoke the righteous outrage of all Vietnamese and all people in the world for the extreme lack of respect and integrity displayed by the Communist authorities toward the sacred culture and traditions of the Vietnamese nation. Once, Viet-Nam was known around the world for its grand monuments, solemn ceremonies and traditions. Today, the Communist regime holds the ancient beliefs of Viet-Nam up for ridicule and makes a mockery of anything held sacred by the Vietnamese people for thousands of years through history.
Considering the history of the Communist Party, this should come as no surprise, considering how they looted and desecrated the tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty to pillage their treasures or how they turned the most sacred Forbidden Purple City of Hue into a war zone, destroying countless national treasures and monuments; however, it is still appalling. Today, they have turned to acts of 'cultural prostitution', selling out the dignity of their country for the money of foreign tourists, all to benefit the Communist Party.
In the Holy Citadel of Hue, the place of the Emperor, upheld by centuries of tradition as the
Thien Tu, is sold every day for a few dollars, holding mock enthronements, even imperial banquets for a handful of dollars. The sacred items and places of Vietnamese history are treated with no respect, only as strange relics of an ancient time. Rather than preserving the culture and color of the Nguyen Dynasty, they display it only in museums, as a hunter would a stuffed animal, on the wall or under glass in an empty case.
The Blue Dragon Society and the Vietnamese loyalist community stand committed to the return of respect and dignity for the ancient beliefs and customs of the Vietnamese people.
