ORC then traveled to Balck Rock to take on the Zebras in what turned out to be an exciting and heart breaking loss as Black Rock defeated OEC 49-54. The night began with edge of your seat action as both teams traded shots and fought to stay on top. ORC pulled away at half-time with a 27-19 lead, but Black Rock returned in the last quater to tie the game. Black Rock took a lead with three minutes remaining and hit 6-of-8 free throws in the final 1:37 to beat Oak Ridge. The two fouls late in the fourth quarter put Black Rock with only seconds left and ORC was unable to connect with a basket. Top Score for ORC was #40 Jacob Towell, ORC junior and one of the teams starters with seventeen points. Nick Hopper and Cody Kildow each scored twelve points. Jeremiah Sloan led Black Rock with 20 points, while Dustin Meeks had 14 and 5 steals. Travis Fleming added 11 points for the Zebras.
