On the wings of an angel
my daddy slipped away
A very sad, but peaceful moment
just 4 years ago today
So gentle, so kind and caring
his face I never will forget
So full of strength and tenderness
A greater man, I've never met
This day is filled with sorrow
but also joyfull memories
I feel his hugs and reassurance
his love, still here for me
You see, my daddy's up in Heaven
at peace, with Mom again
He has his own set of wings now
Our own special guardian
And when my time on earth is done
I know I need not fear a thing
For my daddy will come to lead me home
upon his beautiful Angel's Wings
