Squash player Nicol Ann David of Malaysia is the surprise 2005 World Games champion in women’s squash. The 23-year-old defeated the world’s number one, Australia’s Rachael Graham, in straight sets 9-4, 10-9, 9-1 to celebrate the greatest success of her career. "I didn’t think it would be that fast”, Nicol David said after the match. “I came here to play a good tournament and have a good time. It is a great bonus to win the event.” Rachael Graham had a simple explanation for her defeat: “Nicol returned simply every ball. She has always been very quick.” Both players agreed on one point: “It was great to play in the World Games.”
