The Four Powers of Magus

The Four Powers of Magus are the personal attributes traditionally necessary and that required for the successful use and practice of magick.
The four powers are:  To Know
                                 To Dare
                                 To Will
                                 To Be Silent

Without these four attributes in combination individuals will not be able to be successful in magick.

To Know:  To strive for and apply knowledge.  Always seek the truth
no matter of the revelations.  Knowledge must be
combined with the will and daring to perform magick.
                 Associated with Air and intelligence.

To Dare:  Question everything; even the truths you hold dear.
Combined with knowledge and will to see magick done.
Being bold and courageous enough to try and to confront.
               Associated with Fire and change.

To Will:  Reminds you to focus your thoughts and meditate on your
goals.  It does you no good to practice magick haphazardly
you must have a clear picture of the end in mind and the
will to see it through.  Will power combined with knowledge
and daring will see magick done.  Associated with Water and
              emotion.

To Be Silent:  Speak not of your magick doings to others lest they
seek to undo them.  Take care in what you say as we
attract that which we speak of. Silence yourself to hear
your inner voice or divine instructions.  Do not reveal
you magick before it is done so as not to dissipate it's
power or effectiveness.  Listen much - talk little.

So if you seek to perform magick:
You must have to knowledge combined with the will and daring to do so.  You must be silent in your efforts so as not to dissipate your power or have your efforts halted by others.

Be not boastful of your accomplishments but instead be secure in your ability to perform magick and change circumstances with the ideal that your magick should harm none.
