I am Nikhil. I am a software professional. I have worked mostly on Middleware Java technologies. I have been related mostly with Financial/Investment Markets Domain. That’s why I have worked on Data Mining and Data warehousing too. In fact I have been involved in the design and development of a pure Java Data Warehousing tool.
I have other hobbies apart from trying to be a geek.
I read a lot, my favorite authors being Gabriel Garcia Marquez, W. Somerset Maugham, Albert Camus, William Golding and Salman Rushdie.
I am also interested in philosophy, Mind-Body problem being my main area of interest.
Since my college days I have been addicted to bird watching. This is a great source of discomfort for friends with whom I go for hiking.
I like to bike. "Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance" started it all. I got myself an old Royal Enfield Bullet so that while the mechanic repairs it I'd get a chance to know as much as possible about the machine. And anyway .. bullets never grow old.
