MAZOHYST OF DECADENCE

by Nightcon

NIGHT NOTES: I have no idea what the title means but doesn’t it sound great? I love this song by Dir en Grey! I don’t know what Mazohyst means; it’s not in my dictionary! (o_O)

It’s best if you picture the ship in Alien: Resurrection for Yoshiki’s ship, it’s what I’m picturing.

Part 1

Die was asleep at the controls of The Gauze again. Kaoru glared and clomped over the seat he was leaning back in. Shinya peered up from the navigation controls underneath his bangs and smirked as he knew what was coming.

Clearing his throat Kaoru loomed over Die, who was still unaware of his presence. With a swift kick Die gasped and found himself staring at the ceiling of the star ships control room. He rubbed the back of his head as he glared up at Kaoru who glared right back.

Shinya and Toshiya snickered from where they sat at their controls. Kyo, who was swiveling around in his first-mates chair laughed out loud and stopped himself while turned away. The beer can Die threw hit against the back of the chair, he snarled again as he heard the snickering.

"Die!" Kaoru spoke harshly. "You are the defense operator! What the hell are we supposed to do if we get attacked and you are asleep!"

"We are not going to get attacked! We probably the only ship in this entire galaxy, and we’re nothing but a run down cargo ship converted into a flying house for God’s sake. No one is going to attack us!"

"Die!"

He only waved his hand and set back up his chair. "Yea, okay I’ll stay awake." Though in the back of his mind he was thinking "Yea, right. What’s the point?"

Die noticed his lover watching him from his post and sauntered over to him as soon as Kaoru left the room. "Shin-chan." He drawled out. "I’m so bored, aren’t you?" He whispered in his ear and watched him blush despite how often Die spoke to him like this. He chuckled and ran his hand down Shinya’s chest. Shinya jumped and his hands hit the control panel making the ship jerk to the right.

"Damn, Die!" Shinya pulled away and straightened the ship.

Die gasped and ran to his controls just as Kaoru ran into the room. "DIE!"

Yoshiki sat in his throne-like captain’s chair. His left leg was pulled up to his chest as he slouched low with his hands gripping the arm rests loosely. He fingered the ends of his short hair and sighed. He was very bored. He wanted a fight! They have defeated every ship that crossed their path but no one had came anywhere near the area of the ship in months!

Even the usually joking Toshi was now stoic as he sat beside Yoshiki and stared off through the viewing screen at the empty universe ahead of them.

"Do you want to go get something to eat?" Toshi asked warily.

"Not hungry."

Toshi frowned. "Do you want to go get drunk?" He asked hopefully.

"Not in the mood."

Toshi frowned deeper and sighed loudly. He glanced back at Pata who was leaning on one hand asleep. That was a good idea. "I’m going to bed."

He rose to leave as the radar screen in front of him "blipped" at him. Everyone in the room jumped and gathered around the screen. Taiji quickly starting typing on his screen. "It’s not a big ship, a cargo ship maybe."

Yoshiki jumped up and smiled broadly. "That’s four or five people, finally!"

Pata armed the ship. "Do you want to attack them?" He shoved a lock of hair out of his face, grinning in excitement. It had been a long time since he had been able to attack a ship.

"No!" Yoshiki yelled. "Just bring in the ship!"

At least now Die was being serious. Kaoru was shouting at Shinya at the moment, trying to get him to find a way to get them out of the tractor beam the enormous ship had over them.

"Quit yelling at him, Kaoru! We can’t get out of it!" Die walked up to him and pulled Shinya away who still tired to pull back and get to the controls. Die bit his lip and held onto him. He knew this ship, they all did. The Miscast was painted in huge letters across the ship, one letter the size of their small ship, this was not a good ship to be pulled into.

Toshiya frantically ran to Kaoru and held him around the waste. "Kao-Kao…" He pressed his face into his shoulder. "What’s going on?" He asked in a small, trembling voice. "Why are they pulling us in?"

Kaoru only shook his head and stroked his lover’s hair reassuringly. "Toshiya, go hide."

"No, come with me!" Toshiya tugged stubbornly on his sleeve.

Kaoru took his lovers face and looked into his eyes very seriously. "Listen to me, they won’t believe there is no one here. I will try to convince them I’m the only one on board and try to get them to let us leave." Toshiya held in a sob but nodded.

Shinya held onto his arm as they left the room with Die. Die cast a look over his shoulder at Kaoru as they left. He admired Kaoru’s bravery. He was standing tall with his back straight and his hands didn’t shake or tense at all. He almost looked relaxed.

Die looked around for Kyo, but he had already disappeared somewhere.

Kyo ran to his quarters in the very back of the ship and entered his tiny room. He fell to his knees beside the bed and pulled out a heavy suitcase from beneath it. He flipped it open and pulled out a huge gun, he cocked it cradled it in his arms like it was his baby.

"No fucking space pirates are taking over this ship." He mumbled to himself.

Yoshiki ran the entire way to the ship port, six floors down. The ship was ratty and looked old enough to break down at any moment. He wondered how many time they simply drifted in space while trying to repair their engines. He smirked, he had never experienced that He touched the words on the side "The Gauze." He grinned to himself.

Toshi, Taiji, and Pata stood in front of the main entrance to the cargo ship with their guns ready, lined up and looking very militant. The door opened there was only darkness inside. They all held their guns a bit tighter wondering if there was going to be an ambush.

Yoshiki called out. "Come out of the ship, unarmed, and you won’t be killed." He didn’t have a gun like the others but stood casually with his hands folded together behind his back.

Kaoru held his breath and raised his hands up as he stepped slowly from the ship.

Yoshiki gasped at how attractive the single man was. His pink hair was hanging limply around his face and his clothes were simple, plain colors but didn’t hide how perfect his body must be beneath them. He was very thin, Yoshiki deduced he must be the caption and worked too hard to remember to eat.

Yoshiki had always liked women in the past, growing up he couldn’t get enough of them, but after spending years with only his all-male crew… the man exiting the ship was breathtaking.

"Where is the rest of the crew? Surely you cannot pilot this ship, as small as it is, all by yourself." He asked when he composed himself.

"There is no one else." Kaoru answered flatly as he called out his answer. That was all he said, and his eyes met straight with Yoshiki’s.

Taiji smirked as he set down his gun and was now looking at a control panel behind the rest of them. "Yoshiki, we read at least four other people are on the ship."

Pata signaled with his gun and Kaoru stepped fully out. Pata quickly grabbed him and held him off to the side with a gun to his head.

Taiji ran into the ship, with Yoshiki slowly in tow, Pata watched Kaoru with a glare as he eyed the slim body. He leered at him and smiled. This one was his.

Yoshiki walked to the front of the ship. The control room was large, with a small viewing screen. It was set up like a living room almost. The captain’s chair didn’t exist, in its place was a large, ratty couch they looked very worn in. He scrunched is face and moved back towards the cargo rooms, but there was no cargo.

It looked like they were living on this ship. There were three rooms, one on each side and one straight ahead. He moved forward and went straight into that room. As he looked around he noticed immediately that it was used as a bedroom. There was a large bed against the far wall covered in nearly a dozen blankets thrown on top and two pillows. He noted to himself that there were two… There were clothes and personal items all over the place, and three guitars propped up near the wall, two regular guitars and one bass.

Toshiya froze in the closet with his eyes as wide as saucers though he couldn’t see a thing. He clutched onto Shinya’s arm, his nails digging in. Shinya winced and leaned back against Die. Die froze also as they heard the bedroom door swish open and then close again. They could hear someone moving around the room from where they were ducked in the tiny closet.

Did they ever clean the closet? Die wondered as he scrunched his nose. Oh no, he felt a sneeze coming on from all the dust around him and pressed his nose and mouth against Shinya’s hair and neck to try to help stop it from coming. It passed.

Yoshiki picked up a thin tee-shirt from the floor. It was black leather. He dropped it again, the owner had good taste. Where hadn’t he looked? No one would be stupid enough to hide under the bed but he looked anyway. As he suspected, no one was there. Ahh, the closet…

Taizo threw open a bedroom door, running inside and waved the gun wildly in all directions. No one. There was another bedroom though.

Kyo tightened his hold on the gun in both hands as he aimed it at the door and gritted his teeth. "Come on, you bastards." Kyo thought to himself.

Taiji threw open the door and held up the gun, only to be confronted by a gun pointed at his belly. He froze, neither him nor Kyo moved. Kyo snarled and raised the gun to point it at the pirates head.

"Yoshiki! Get in here!" Taiji called and cocked his gun.

Yoshiki moved slowly towards the closet and closed his hand over the door handle, slowly starting to slide it open. Toshiya whimpered and pressed his face into Shinya’s chest, who tightened his arms over him. Die crouched, ready to pounce on anyone who opened the door, with his hand reassuringly on his lover’s back.

The door slid up all the way and the sudden light made Shinya wince. Die pounced though he too was blinded only to be shoved back against the closet wall. Yoshiki shoved his gun in he man’s face.

"Well, well. What do we have here?" He flashed his white teeth at them and took a step back. "Don’t try anything, red." He said to Die then looked over at Shinya and Toshiya. "Two women… good." He smiled broader. "We haven’t had any women in a while."

Shinya looked up and snarled. "Who are you calling a woman?" His fear temporarily forgotten as his anger kicked in. He gripped his shoulder and glowered at the pirate. Toshiya peaked up at him over the side of Shinya’s arm with dread in his eyes and Yoshiki could tell that this was also a man.

"Damn." Yoshiki said. "Okay, you three get out of there. Like I said, don’t try anything."

Taiji cursed to himself and stared at Kyo’s huge gun. "Listen, you can shoot me all you want, but there are tons of people that operate our ship, people right outside that have guns like mine. How many do you think you can shoot before you get shot yourself?"

Kyo took a step forward. "Well now, you’re on my ship, I suggest you get off of it." Kyo was so tense that he could feel all the muscles in his body tighten. They engaged in a staring contest for a moment until Kyo’s pet scorpions made a noise in their cage. Kyo jumped, not expecting the noise.

Taiji saw his chance and lunged, jerking the gun from Kyo’s hands and knocked him back against the bed. Kyo tried to scream but Taiji had the gun pressed down over his throat and he couldn’t breath let alone scream! Taiji was sitting on his chest with his knees on Kyo’s arms keeping them pressed down against the bed.

Kyo’s hand shot up to hit against Taiji’s face but fell loosely to the bed.

Shit, Taiji remembered Yoshiki wanted them alive. He let go of Kyo’s throat and before Kyo could move, slammed the butt of the gun over Kyo’s temple, knocking him unconscious.

Yoshiki still had his gun aimed at Toshiya, Shinya, and Die, but also Kaoru now. Taiji walked off the ship with Kyo slung over his shoulder and dropped him on the floor in front of the four. Toshiya gasped and dropped down and shook Kyo.

"Kyo! Are you okay!?"

"He’s not dead." Taiji said annoyed at having a gun pointed at him.

"Is anyone else on the ship?" Yoshiki asked as he eyed Shinya.

"No one, I checked everywhere."

Shinya squirmed and held onto Die, trying to shake the pirate’s stare. Die wrapped his arms around his lover and glared daggers into Yoshiki’s eyes.

Yoshiki smirked and walked over to Kaoru. "I take it that you are the leader." He stated and flicked a piece of the pink hair. "You know, you remind me of another hostage we had, he tried the same thing as you did… he’s dead now. So don’t try to be the hero."

Toshiya glanced over at Toshi, who was staring at him with an unreadable look on his face. Toshiya, and everyone else, knew what happened to hostages of this ship. He gulped and bit his lip. His hand was holding Kaoru’s so tightly he nearly broke the leader’s little finger.

"Take all of them, except this one," He held Shinya’s arm, "to the dungeon and don’t touch them yet!" Shinya whined and jerked. Die held Shinya’s arm, the same Yoshiki was, and tried to pull him away starting an almost tug-of-war game.

Yoshiki sighed and held the gun up to Shinya’s face, not Die’s. "Let him go or I’ll shoot him."

Die reluctantly pulled away and absently stroked Shinya’s hair. He whispered, "Don’t worry, I wont let anything happen to you."

"That’s very touching." Yoshiki said flatly and pulled Shinya away.

"Die! I love you!" Shinya called frantically as he was jerked out of the room.

Shinya tried not to cry as the captain was pulling him down the corridor, holding on to his tiny biceps. Shinya struggled futiley and the hold on his arm was so tight his hand started to tingle.

It was cold in the ship, almost icy. Of course it would take much too much power to heat the entire ship. It was probably only the living quarters and control rooms with heat.

The captain was moving very fast, his long legs faster than Shinya could walk and he was almost running to keep from getting dragged along. Despite his speed the captain seemed completely casual, making Shinya tremble. The captain obviously had done this before.

Something above them moved, it caught Shinya’s eye as they sped along. It was small, crawling on hands and knees above them. Shinya’s eyes shot to the captain but he hadn’t noticed and kept his eyes ahead. Shinya looked back up, whatever had been there was gone.

The room that he was drug into was small. There was a cot-bed built onto the far wall with the blankets made perfectly on top of it and a stiff, thin pillow on that. There were an immense amount of cabinets and drawers covering the walls so that nothing else was seen in the sterile, silver room.

The door slid shut behind them and Yoshiki voiced a command to the ship’s computer, "Computer, lock doors." He turned to Shinya and looked him in the eyes. "Don’t try to get it opened, its voice activated. Sit down."

Shinya was quick to follow orders and ended up having to sit on the edge of the bed as there was no where else in the room to sit. He perched on the edge and folded his hands together between his knees. Keeping his eyes on the floor he tried to control his breathing. Where was Die? Would he ever see him again? He tried to control his breathing as he felt a current of tears fall down his cheeks. He didn’t notice Yoshiki sitting next to him until his hand stroked Shinya’s soft strawberry-blonde hair. Shinya jumped so hard he nearly fell onto the floor.

"What is your name?" Yoshiki asked huskily.

For a moment Shinya couldn’t find his voice and sat with his mouth open trying to discover the answer. He recovered and answered shakily. "Boku wa Shinya desu."

Yoshiki laughed shortly. "Boku wa." He mimicked. "You know, when I first saw you I was sure you were a woman."

Usually Shinya would lash out at this comment but he kept still, watching the floor.

Yoshiki laughed as Shinya’s face turned red, anger or shyness he couldn’t tell. He took Shinya’s chin and turned his face towards him. "Do you know who I am?"

Shinya bit his lip and nodded. "Hai. Everyone does." He mumbled. "You’re the great captain Yoshiki sama." (Night Note: Even as a bad-guy space pirate Shinya seems to admire Yoshiki. ^_^)

Yoshiki only smiled in answer and leaned very close to Shinya’s ear. When he spoke again it tickled him and made him shiver. "I know you are with that red head, but I don’t really care." His hand was currently snaking across Shinya’s stomach and held onto his side opposite him.

Yoshiki inwardly groaned. He closed his eyes and breathed in the scent of the young Shinya. He could feel his ribs beneath the thin material of his shirt and his hipbone as he pressed closer to him.

Floating out in space none of the crew got a chance to have a lover… Yoshiki remembered the last lover he had. He had pink hair and was short with a bad attitude. Yoshiki knew that no one could survive on the ship alone without anyone knowing about it. Sometimes he actually missed that little jerk, but he didn’t have to anymore.

He could feel Shinya shivering in fear and nipped his bottom lip as he pushed him back on the bed.

"Die… help me! Help me!" Shinya repeated to himself over and over in his head as a thin tear seeped through he tightly closed eye and dripped down the side of his face.

Yoshiki saw this and licked away the salty residue with the tip of his tongue. "Don’t cry, Shinya." Then he muffled his cries with his lips.
